  • HELP! freeport cultural DNC

Just me? or anyone else following the recipe on EQ traders and getting DNC?

    Field plate is not working..

Am I to ASSUME I need enchanted sheets? or enchanted chain link? It does not call for that however and I am unable to make Field Plate in the cultural forge.

Can someone confirm the recipe? And if it is indeed "enchanted" I need, perhaps a correction can be made on the Human ~ Freeport recipe page.

    Thanks!

When giving us DNCs to troubleshoot, please include the name of ALL of the items you are placing in the forge.

Not the recipe from the website.
Not what you think you have in there.

    :-)

Please right click, and write down the Exact name of all items placed in the forge, and then we will be able to tell you what's wrong.

Made a bajillion field plate combines and the recipe on eqtraders is correct and clear. There are no enchanted components involved. Are you using non-imbued gems? Cultural forge?

Recipe as published has worked fine for me.

Make sure you are using the forge in the steel warriors guild on the platform, if that doesn't work, join serverwide and link ALL the contents of the forge.

I've been using Field Plate and Imbued Field Plate along with Shadow Scream as my current skill up path. I've had no problems with the Freeport Forge.

As was posted earlier, the exact names of the items you are placing in the forge will help us to help you diagnose the problem.

The only part of the recipe which is vague is "the appropriate plate mold." I've seen some attempt to use the Small Plate Bracer Mold (assuming making bracers of course) because they are cheaper. But neither the small nor the large plate molds will work.

Head on into the game, open your packs and get the exact names of the items you're using. Post them here and we'll get you on the right track.

I can certainly sympathize with your frustration. Been there, done that. The reason your being asked to list the exact items your trying to use is because your most likely either using a wrong item or leaving something out. The first time I did that I posted on the board and sure enough I’d been trying to use something I shouldn’t have. So now when I have that problem I go back over every single item until I figure out what I’m doing wrong. The last time I couldn’t get something to combine it was because I forgot to include the muffin tin when making Justice Fruit Pies. ops:
            Pait Spiritwalker
            63rd Season Vah Shir Shaman
            The Seventh Hammer

              Kuulei,

You may have made the same mistake I did when I started doing the field plate: I kept wanting to put water in the recipe ( ops: ). If you read the recipe very closely and follow it, it works.

Using field plate for skill ups

I am currently using field plate for skill ups. Going from 187 to 191 has costed me over 4k, but I am not going to complain. I hear its a real pain from 187 to 201. I find it rather easy to get temper materials, just time consuming. I used to get that DNC message alot, but everyone is right. Just make sure that are:
                1. Using the culteral forge on the platform behind freeport's warrior's guild, for final combine.
                2. Not using water, only need sea temper as your liquid.
                3. Using HQ folded sheets; easy to get in south qeynos because they almost always have a good supply of HQ blocks of ore. (tin soldier, guy at the top of the stairs)
                4. Do Not use enchanted metals. Just buy HQ blocks and make them into folded sheets. Use normal quality Lg Bricks to make metal rings for Non-enchanted chain joining.

Chain joining doesn't stack, so its pretty easy to make a few stacks of metal rings, then form them into chain joining just before making field plate. Use the normal forge behind the warrior's guild (the one near the door), then after about 20 chain joinings, walk up the platform to the culteral forge and make 20 field plate. Recipe is quite easy for fieldplate, just 6 items:
sea temper - folded hq sheet metal - chain joining - padding - mold - smithy hammer (recipe for bracers, collars, and visors)

                Good luck to ya =)

Unless you add an imbued gem, then it's seven .
