There will always be some people who have some secrets, but since they're probably not going to tell you them anyway, you might as well not worry about it. Sticking to simple, easy to do stuff works ok sometimes too, and you are less likely to need great armor, an uber guild, or whatever to do it.

Farm vendors and the bazaar. See spiderling silks selling for 1pp and silk threads selling for 4pp? Go buy the silks and combine them and you've doubled your money every time you do it and sell the results. Lots of people won't bother to do that, so those who DO bother can reap the rewards.

Reap bigger rewards by running around to NPC vendors in different zones. It's not so hard at all these days since POK has portal stones to so many zones. You might find yourself buying spiderling silks for about a gold each or something off a vendor instead of 1 or 2pp from a player. Now your silk threads are much more profitable.

Search the NPC vendors and /bazaar for cheap pelts and turn your silk into padding that might sell for between 15 and 75pp each, depending on your server. That can be a lot of profit fast. There's almost always somebody selling silks or pelts below cost; if all you do is reprice them at the prevailing rate, you've done pretty much no work and gotten some free money out of it.

Or pick up fish rolls that people have dumped on vendors while skilling up. I buy them often for a gold and sell the for a plat; they go fast. Same with zombie skins, etc. Look around and gather up what people like. There are so many things like this -- celestial essences, padding, coldain velium tempers...things people need lots of that you can make or find dirt cheap.

By the way -- do you have any friends with bazaar mules? You might want to ask them to sell your stuff. Tell them they can have 10% or whatever, or just ask them to sell a few items here and there. Your ability to sell doesn't necessarily depend only on what you have. I often stick a few things from friends on my own bazaar mule for free; what the heck, if I have space open anyway.

So...a little industriousness and paying attention to the market requires no special skills and can be done by anyone. You probably won't be pulling in gigantic armloads of money every minute, but you can have a guaranteed few K a week just by poking around for bargains or making a few simple things. Maybe sometimes you'll even make more. Not bad for something even a very poor lowbie can do.

ok i am curious about the sell back rate that is listed for the ornate...not looking at failures....

        according to my figuring....

(given the oddities of the rings, each individual ring costs- 8.6.6.8)

        gold chainmail:

        26.0.0.4 --- 3 rings
        0.0.1.0 --- water
        10.5.0.0 --- gold bar
        8.4.0.0 --- pattern

        44.9.1.4 cost per combine

70.9.1.5 sell back according to your guide....

this is a PROFIT of 26pp

        platinum chainmail:

        26.0.0.4 --- 3 rings
        0.0.1.0 --- water
        105.0.0.0 --- platinum bar
        8.4.0.0 --- pattern

        139.4.1.4 cost per combine

165.4.1.5 sell back according to your guide....

this is a PROFIT of 26pp

im confused. what am i missing...

Taking into fact that my CHR isnt at the highest to get the best prices but faction is amiable at least
Seriously, this is NOT a concern. Even with indifferent faction, you hit best price at 104 CHA.

Opal Encrusted Steins (pottery) are sold in the bazaar for 40 pp or so. They're non-lore, either hand, and have +25 CHA. If 50 CHA isn't enough, a pair of Gold Cat's Eye Agate bracelets should be 20 pp or each less, they're both +7 CHA. Unless your base CHA is under 40, that's enough to get you to best price for about 120 pp total.

I am so not getting into that argument again.

                For Sopwith

In your signature you are a follower of Karana. If this is true you not need follow the ornate route.
                Your god help you!!
Take a file,1500pp, up your cha to 104 and go to Surefall Glade.
Find Qaelin Hailstorm, face to Ranger guild, look to your left, he is near a tree. Hask he "i need a mark of karana".
Buy from he many small steel brick (about 6pp each), go into the ranger guild and find a forge.
Combine in forge: file, mark of karana, water and small steel brick=
items for flerching(not remember exat name)= with 104 cha you sell this item fir about 2pp to vendors.
File and mark of karana return on failure o success
                Trivial 188.
On mark and final item there is something= only for melee but i'm wiz and with me this sistem worked.
                Hope this help.
                Thank Karana/
