  • Error in underfoot plate recipy?

    Heya,

Here's my question. I notieced something odd in the recipy and wanted to know if it makes sense.

Underfoot Plate requires "Infused Folded Sheet of Brellium" the recipy for this only requires one "Large Brick of Enchanted Brellium" which is an enchant on a store bought "Large Brick of Brellium".

Dwarven Plate (old cultural) requires "Enchanted Folded Sheet of Brellium" the recipy for this requires one "enchanted block of brellium" which is actually made from THREE "enchanted large bricks of brellium"

Where my confusion come in is that the implication is that BD Cultural Dwarven Plate requires ONLY ONE THIRD the amount of brellium for the sheets and one third the enchanting (joining aside..) that old cultural does??? Is this for real?

    Rredd

If you look at the complete recipe for Folded Sheet Of Infused Brellium:

Components: celestial temper, enchanted lrg. brick of brellium, folded sheet of velium, dwarven smithy hammer

You will see One (1) Enchanted Large Brick of Brellium - Correct as you state.

But also notice there is a ONE (1) Folded Sheet of Velium - made from THREE (3) Large Bricks of Velium... and the ONE (1) Celestial Temper (BD Required).

Ack... yes Folded Sheet of Velium from One Block of Velium (which can be dropped) or the Block can be made from three Large Bricks of Velium (which can also be dropped... I am not sure if the Large Bricks of Velium have a merchant with an infinite supply or not).

My point was, there is actually more materials required for the Folded Sheet Of Infused Brellium than for the Enchanted Folded Sheet of Brellium.

Does this make it "right" or "wrong"? Not likely either way. This is the way they have the recipes created.

I think the point is that while you can buy a block of velium from vendors for 40pp (and although there's no velium that's vendor supplied, to put it politely, many people that hunt in a certain zone that drops velium often are not your brightest EQ players), an enchanted large brick of brellium requires a 49 enchanter. Making the "inferior" cultural requires 3 times the enchanter mana. This is, simply put, bass ackwards.

Or, farming velium is a lot quicker and less painful than finding an enchanter.

Yep, that was my thinking too... BD cultural requires one third the "chain the chanter to your forge" time.

                Another question...

Block of Velium - Not Stackable
                Sheets of velium - Stackable?
Folded Sheet Of Infused Brellium - Stackable?

What about the brellium side of the equation... are those blocks or their enchanted versions stackable?

All sheets I know of are stackable. All blocks I know or are not. I only work in adamanium myself.

Brellium blocks are not stackable, large bricks of brellium are not stackable, folded enchanted (reg & infused) of brellium are stackable.

Yes, it's a pain to get 3 large bricks of brellium enchanted to make one large block, then 3 sheets to make a BP, but even with nine large bricks (more with failures on making the folded sheets), it's really not too bad since I don't have to farm the ore. It's a static price in NKal mines and with my faithstone of the underfoot, it's pretty simple to gate to PoK / Nexus, have it enchanted and Faithstone back to NKal and run to the forge in SKal.

ALL sheets of (anything) and folded sheets of (anything) are stackable.

In all cases where an ore comes in one of four varieties (small pieces, small bricks, large bricks, and blocks), the small pieces are stackable and the other three forms are not. This includes all cultural metal (mithril, brellium, adamantite), all normal metals (regular, medium, and high quality), velium, and adamantite.

People do get confused because there are a few metals, including deathsteel, fiery ore, and black acrylia, that only have one form. If any metal comes simply as a brick (not small brick or large brick) it is the only "size" it comes in. But to confuse matters, bricks of fiery ore are not stackable and bricks of deathsteel or black acrylia ARE stackable.
