Hehe that's one of those ones I wouldn't announce since they have been tryign to fix it for so long. If it works great for them if it doesn't nothing has changed
/petition isn't being too good to me either, a guide always responds in about 4 hours, then they merely say that they will pass it on to a GM to fix... which they don't =/...
Does anyone have a link to a site that describes what to do in this war? Like how to trigger, and what to do to help one side or the other win. We are kinda stuck with Grimlings at the moment
Sorry if this has been posted before..search only seemed to come up with a lot of complaints...
Search comes up with a lot of complaints because no one can reproducably cause the attacks. If there is an attack, the attacking force can be assisted, but that's it.
Mmmm - I saw a zone wide emote last night, then saw some owlbears moving south to the town off the islands...if its not triggered I guess you just have to wait for the emote, then head there to help keep them alive...
thanks!
Yes, that's right. Just wait for one force to attack another. When this happens, a set of defenders will spawn to protect against the invasion. If the invaders are the ones you want (eg Owlbears attack South Island Grimlings), you help them to kill the defenders and win the battle. I presume if no-one helps the invading force then the defenders will win. (note: never tried to play around with the war myself. This is just based on what I've read - mostly here).
Correct and once the one force owns all 3 areas the prince should pop so you can reset the war by killing him.He does not pop.Once one type owns all 3 areas there is no more attacks. At this point you need a gm to reset it.
I got mine reset yesterday.Got the owlbears in the lake at last and now there is another patch...bah.
I have a question. After the last two patches we've had, the grimlings have automatically been put in control of the zone upon server up. Is this always the case or do the owlbears or wolves ever default to control the zone immediately after a patch?
After the patches, no-one controls the zone, each species is in its own camp. If the Grimlings are in control of the whole zone, it either means that someone has got in quickly and helped them take over the owlbear and sonic camps, or the Grimling Attackers are still exploiting the "no aggro" bug I reported about 4 weeks ago.
If you mean they have the camp on the islands, then that is not controlling the zone, that's just their normal starting position.
Unless of course, the zone is not being re-set by the patch, in which case whatever position they were in before the patch they will be in afterwards.
So how exactly is this broken?

Ah ok, thanks Kradlum. Man this war is confusing. So upon server reset (if reset properly) each entity is placed in their own camp. I know the bears and wolves have their own caves. The grimlings have the south islands and the area on the side of the mountain close to the islands.
On Mith Marr, at present, the owlbears are all in their cave and the wolves are all in their cave. The grimlings have control of the islands and the mountainside area. Does this mean that either the bears or wolves are capable of taking over the southern islands?
Ok, last scenario. Before our last patch, on Mith Marr, the grimlings were controlling the southern islands. The wolves were all still in their cave and controlled that. The owlbear cave was filled with grimlings. Does this mean that the owlbears were extinct and the only way to get bears to the southern islands was with zone reset?
