I'd actually heard about this change right before the Fan Faire, but had been waiting to see when there'd be a patch to make it live. I'm glad to see it has happened ... and to see the community get at least moderately happy about it.

I took some friends on a fishing expedition the other day. Between the three of us (and me auctioning to buy in the zone), I ended up with 37 seaweed -- and it only took up two slots!!! <insert primal scream of wootiness here>

Oh, and I also mastered two new languages in the time it took to fish all that.

Just for info on catching rate:

I'm averaging about 3 Seaweeds per stack of Bait, at 200 fishing skill, using Brell's Fishing Pole which gives a +3% to Fishing skill (so effectively I'm at 206 skill). Sometimes I catch more, sometimes less. I don't think it matters much if I go to Ocean of Tears or Timorous Deep, since OoT has the Gunthak Mackerel where TD has the Timorous Tuna; the rest of the fishing table is the same.

So far my fishing sessions have always been limited to the amount of Seaweeds I could carry ... guess no more

Now if they would only introduce an item with unlimited charges of Summon: Fishing Bait ... :P

If you fish in oot, you can convert the gunthak mackerel into bait ^^ It's about time, I hated having to take the boat out every few dozen seaweed to temper them and then come back out. FYI I was doing sets of 200 skillup combines for smithing, so the trips back and forth were tedious.

              Hmm...will Tuna convert too?

May have to start packing a tacklebox.
