Inferno tempers... I need 5 for breastplate?

Trying to gather up the components for an inferno breastplate for our cleric here, and looking at the recipes I gather that we need 5 inferno tempers? :? One for the BP itself, 3 to make the sheets and one for the chain jointing.


That's 5 metallic substances, though, which are EXTREMELY rare. Is the above correct? God help me if the smith fails if so. Took 5 days of farming for 5 substances...

Not correct.

You need a temper to make the rings as well.

6 tempers for a BP.

of course hand grenade is useless without being blessed to turn it into a holy hand grenade.

For that you must have an agonistic cleric imbue a gem which only drops of mobs inside the Plane of Knowledge.

Enjoy the fun of Elemental tradeskill items. Soem stats are great, but yet, there's always that 1 components so hard to get, and guess what? You have to get it. I feel your pain, after all, I was the first one who made the inferno greaves for a friend of mine in guild.

You'll need 6 tempers total. 3x for sheets, 1 for ring, 1 for chain jointing, and final combine. Just be happy at least you guy farm it, we only get it while raiding.

1 temper makes 2 rings, so, assuming no failures on precombines:

PLATE: 3.5 to 5.5 tempers per piece

CHAIN: 1.5 to 3 tempers per piece

For earth, where the blood is rare as hen's teeth too, add in an extra one for the emblem.

Needless to say, I'm making chain rather than plate for the most part.

1 brick + 1 temper + 1 file = 2 rings

1 block + 1 hammer + 1 temper= sheet

1 block + 1 hammer + 1 temper= sheet

1 chain joint + 3 sheets + emblem + etc etc + 1 temper = failure, try again, here, have your emblem.
