How much should I price the BD and old HIE cultural armor for?
I'm on Feninon ro and it isn't up in the bazaar enough to set a decent price. I don't want to undercut people.

Well, I am on Mith Marr, but here is what I charge...

Elven Chain
1 ring = 750
2 ring = 1000
3 ring = 1250

Koada'dal
1 sheet = 1500
2 sheet = 2500
3 sheet = 3500

BD Cultural
1 sheet/ring = 8000
2 sheet/ring = 17000
3 sheet/ring = 25000

I get complaints from customers saying I am too high, and smiths saying that I am too low, so I figure I must be at a pretty good compromise price-wise:-)

For reference, I can usually buy BD in quantity on bazaar for 500-750. I pay 70pp or less for blocks of velium. Not sure the cost on your server. I pay 50pp or less for moonlight and swirling mist. I pay 30pp or less for dew.

I just wanted to add that I do tend to keep my prices on the high end for a couple reasons.

First, I want younger smiths to be able to come in and undercut me and still make a profit. New smiths need to be able to sell what they are making for skill points.

Second, I like to encourage any player-made items to stay at reasonable prices. Since I keep my trader online very consistently, I have been able to extablish a general baseline price for smithed armors. Yes, people undercut me often and I do not sell tons of pieces. But, on the other hand, I don't want to be farming for smithing components all the time so selling more slowly at a higher price suits me. I am pretty happy with the rate I sell items.

I don't do elven chain or imbued elven chain cuz rvr doesn't interested me. If anyone wants old cultural, they can collect everything and I do combine at 250pp/piece on success.

As for BD, the price has been pretty bad on vaz, but here's normally how much they are.

1 sheet - 4k~6k
2 sheets - 8~12k
3 sheets - 10~22k

Look up the prices on Underfoot/Brellium Plate... then look up the prices on Heraldic & Helanic Plate.

That should give you a good range of prices... put your prices in the middle.

If you sell fast, adjust your prices upward slightly. If you don't sell at all, adjust your prices downward slightly. (By slightly, I mean about 5% or so.)

You're very lucky... there are entirely too many people who make Full Mithril on Xegony.

Make a list of the maximum you're willing to pay for any given item, then figure your total cost per sheet (at 40% success). Multiply it by 2.5, and you have your selling price.

Been a while since I've tried to sell any old cultural on Fennin Ro, but last time I did I sold a bp for about 3k (around the price of a froglok bp, similar stats). The old cultural is a very limited market and probably should only be done as a special request.
As for the new cultural, the last time I saw any for sale it was 5k/10k/15k for 1/2/3 sheet combines. Since Theron(?) dropped off the radar none of the other GM high elven smiths have taken his place. I haven't been planning on making any more than I and my guild would need so...field is wide open. I'd suggest going with 8k/15k/20k and see if people faint.

Oh, and on Fennin its very hard to find anyone selling Morning Dew for less than 100pp each. Makes ya wonder since nobody is making Full Mithril for sale. (Essence of wind: 20pp, Essence of Moonlight: 50pp. I just can't see myself paying for any of that when I can get it all myself!)

It used to be about 5-6k for a bracer on RN.

Then one smith (won't name names, don't want to get banned) decided to cut prices.

The bracers are now 3k on RN
