  • Newbie Smithing question, Tae Ew Chain Tunic

okay I haven't even touched tradeskills in my experience with EQ. I'm not sure why but after losing about 500 plat as a level 30-something character while trying to earn money with alchemy SOW potions, I decided to put them off until I was far richer. Now I want a Tae Ew Chain Tunic, and I know nothing about smithing. I followed the instructions given here:

    http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_cazicthule.htm

but there was a part that confused me

"tae ew chain tunic: banded tunic mold, distilled lizard blood, 3 sheets of metal: AC 45, STR 5, DEX 5, STA 8, WIS 11, AGI 8, HP 50, mana 50, 5 to all saves, required level 51, trivial >250"

I farmed CT and got my distilled lizard blood. all set with the hard part (aside from finding a 250 smith) but I'm totally baffled as to where I can find the two other components, sheets of metal and Banded tunic mold. I checked the Trade Supplies part of this site, and could only find Varying sizes of these two items, like large banded molds or medium sheets of metal. Which do I use in this recipe? and where do I find them?

You can get both at the same vendor in PoK:
    (Taken from the Tradesupplies section)

(medium banded) molds, sheet metal, Basic Blacksmithing book, Armor & Weapons Guide - Kaleras Darkanvil (-441, 560)

On the vendor, the mold doesn't say "banded", its something like "sectional mold". Yes it is a bit confusing.

But he's the guy. I made a Tunic the other day.

well I got the ingrediants you said (even though I dont see how anyone would know that banded = sectional) and I found a 250 smithy and He combined it for me! It was awesome.
