I took almost a year off from EQ. I have recently returned to find the smithing world I knew so well all but gone. As a Dark Elf smith with a skill of 192 I was in the midst of banging my way through Fine Plate when I left. Now, i return to find all of the Fine Plate trivial to me.
After looking around the new smithing pages, I find myself at a complete loss of where to go from here. Cultural? Luclin specific? Egads, so many possibilites now.
My smith is a 21st level agnostic Dark Elf Enchanter. He has a skill of 192. I also have a 41st level Innoruuk worshipping Dark Elf Shadowknight, a 44th level Tunare worshipping Druid, and a 44th level agnostic High Elf Enchanter at my disposal. How should I go about raising my skill? Farming is impractical for the smith himself and I don't particularly want to level him just for that -- I'd rather just raise the shadowknight's smithing.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
