i am working on seafarer's ringmail to advance smithing skills -- is there any demand for this stuff or should i just sell it back to a vendor? Also, is there any demand for a complete set -- for fashion conscious players? if there is demand, any suggestions on what to charge? thanks

Why are you wasting Sea Temper on seafarer's ringmail? Highest trvial is 142. You should do FS til 188 then imbued field plate til 210. Grab 212 on ethereal rings and back to imbued field plate. Sea temper is not that commin and wouls save what you have til you need it.

I have a 15% smithing skill mod so I needed a skill of 193 to do ethereal rings. Took me 110 sea tempers doing imbued field plate bracers to hit 193. Then 400 ethereal rings to hit 202.

well my strategy is ... correct me if i'm wrong... is that it is cheaper and fewer combines than any other path that gets me to 142 (i am at 131 now). fished a stack of seaweed and bought a stack of seafoam for 10p each..i figure the leather armor is a couple plat per and mq rings are cheaper than hq or making plate.

I got to 175 of banded so dunno about the new path. I plan on getting my druid to 180 ish for his shawl and hes 115 atm. I plan on doing the ornate chain then FS. I just want to save tempers til I really need them. I dunno about you but to collect 110 sea temper for just 5 skill pnts too me a long ass time. I try to trival out on vendor sold recipes before I have to do farming recipes.

banded trivials at 115 and i did cultural needles to 131 where i am now. i guess the sea temper came easy to me since i was getting the seaweed as i worked on fishing and met a guy with a stack of sea foam..but if it (temper) is so rare, that might argue for going the other routh (FS). and saving/selling the temper to finance the alternate path. thanks

one other point that led me to look at seafarers was when i saw 'leather padding' in the fs recipe LOL...i spent so much time dumpster diving for pelts and selling leather padding to raise cash when i was younger i had an immediate 'UGH' reaction..maybe i will turn into a buyer rather than a seller now(always wondered who was buying all that padding and why smile.

too bad we are on different servers..sounds like i'll have a stack of temper for sale since you've convinced me to go the fs route now (which seems a little easier than ornate). thanks again

Save the temper.

You'll be using it with field plate eventually,which will put a few notches in your skillups anyhow. For 188-215 or so,at least it's not a bad thing if you have the parts (trust me,shadowscream can take a while!).

It's a reasonable method of skillups-just NOT YET.
