Field Plate Recipe?

I am a HUman Pally smith. When I attempt to make a Field Plate piece at the Freeport Forge, (or any other for that matter) I can't do the combine.

What I'm using to try:

Large Plate Bracer mold
Hammer
Leather PAdding
Sea Temper
Chain Jointing
HQ folded sheet

What am I doing wrong? WHen I try this combine in the Freeport forge, it tells me to find another forge. When I try a regular forge, it tells me I can't combine in this type of container.

Help anybody?

I don't really know the recipe, but are you making sure everything is unstacked?

You are using:<ul>
<li>The wrong metal. It's MQ Folded Sheets of Metal
<li>Chain Jointing. None are used in Fine Plate
<li>"Hammer". You need a "Smithy Hammer"

<li>Sea Temper. You should be using a Water Flask
</ul>

You should check the site and reverify exactly what you're making.

Most forges have 10 slots. What <b>exactly</b> are you trying to make? The <b>exact name</b>?

<li>Are the right race (Human)

I'm at the Freeport Forge. For sure.

But I need a MEDIUM Bracer mold?

All the EQtrader recipe states is that I nee the "appropriate" mold. I assume that meant whatever size armor you wanted to make.

It's a <b>medium</b> mold. If it were any other size, it would say <b>appropriate [small, large] mold</b>, as it does with Dark Elven cultural.

Thanks a bunch. I spent 6 hours yesterday adjusting my faction to not be KoS in Freeport only to not be able to make any FP Human cultural armor.

I'll assume I can find MEDIUM molds in EFP. ANyways, thank you.

Medium plate molds are found upstairs in Ikthars Forge in East Freeport. She is named Valentin Fireheart .

I hope you had better luck that I did. I am a human cleric with 320 wisdom.

189-193: 110 combines on Freeport amors with 15% smithing mod

194-202: 395 combines on etheral rings with 15% smithing mod

So need another 400 for the last 10 pnts

Thanks for the info, I found the plate molds. Got my skill from 178 to 183 on 17 tries at the 195 trivial bracers with a buffed STR of 255. 2 failures.

Seems like as long as I attempt a combine 20-25 higher than my current skill level, I do far better on skillups than if I stay close to trivial.

Gonna try and make some of the lower Imbued Field Plate pieces for my wife's 31 Cleric tonight.

Seems like STR is way more important than WIS or DEX seeing that my WIS is only 140 and my DEX is around 115.
