NON-DEITY ARMOR

I've noticed that there are non-deity armor for dwarves (brellium) or humans (steelweave) but nothing for larger races such as Ogres with equivalent high AC. All Ogre, Troll and Barbarian armor seems to have deity requirement attached to it if they want for example ac51 breastplate. Did I miss it somewhere but does such crafted armor exist for large races which give same AC as the heraldic type?

This issue is listed already in http://mboards.eqtraders.com/phpBB2/...=2396#culturalThe Dead Horse</a>. The only armor that exists that a large race can use with similar stats are either Cazic Thule plate or teir 2 or greater PoP armors.

A lot of the races didn't get a non-deity cultural. Just the way it was done at the time.

Options are to find a smith that can make non-deity you can wear, or to skip the cultural, get either Tae Ew chain / platemail or jump to the Planar armors....those have level restrictions, but are good and bad in comparison to cultural.

Aye, you are stuck until/unless SOE gets around to correcting the oversight.

The pristine scales for the CT plate armors are rather rare. Night Terror Plate isn't as good as cultural, but relatively easy to make (for PoP plate) and may be available via special order for prices similar too or less than cultural. Hurricane plate and upper tier PoP stuff is better, but far rarer.

first, a nitpick -- Steelweave is Erudite tailored, not human smithed. Human smithed is all Heraldic, and the unimbued is Fine Heraldic.

The Fine Heraldic is usable by barbarians, but not Ogres or Trolls, and nothing is usable by Vah Shir; this is a Dead Horse^tm.

Hopefully SOE will get around to finishing this some day. Don't hold your breath though. They have a long habit of leaving things half finished. (This is another Dead Horse^tm)
