  • Molds for Tae Ew Chain

In a previous post about the Tae Ew Chain Bracer, they said it used a Plate Bracer Mold. The recipe on the site says that is uses a banded bracer mold, which I thought was the plain "Large Bracer Mold," etc.

I am not concerned with making the bracers (Hello, horrible RvR!) but I am not sure which molds to use for the tae ew chain tunic and leggings now.

Can someone confirm the actual name of the mold used in these recipes?

    Thank you,

I believe the Plate mold is a typo on one of the Devs parts in the database. The bracer recipie was thought to be broken forever until someone tried a plate mold.(go figure it worked)

The rest of the pieces use the correct banded molds.

You also need to use the Medium banded molds not the Large molds.

Ouff! Good catch, folks. I'd not noticed that little niggly. I've updated the site accordingly, as well as sent a quick ping Frizznik's way about it.

The molds for banded armor are typically called "xxxx sectional mold".. although there are a couple decrepencies in the batch, and you need to use the ones that are not qualified with a size.. the "small" and "large" will not work. You can get the right ones in E Freeport and PoK for sure.. other places you'll have to look at the tradskill components pages for.

Apparently he was well pinged by you

It's listed in the patch message today

            - Corrected the recipe for Tae Ew Chain Bracer to use a Bracer Sectional Mold instead of a Plate Bracer Mold.
I'm not online, so I have no idea if it's ACTUALLY been fixed, but it's mentioned by name, at least, so there's a good chance, eh
