*grumble* On Seafarer's vs. Fine Seafarer's

All the sudden,because it's better knightly me can't use it anymore? What gives?

I'm an Inny SK and I think Qeynos is for Bloodsabres. :P Why can't Freeport armor be imbued,and why can't the best FP armor be used by the same classes the lesser armor is?

Then again,I'm still a little annoyed they didn't upgrade FP plate recipes as well.

I'm curious as to why they narrowed the useful range for the armor.

Well ... maybe because you can wear Hateful Heraldic Armor instead? And yes, I know it's made in Qeynos, but I don't think it should be restricted to just the people who started in Qeynos.

That's the thing. I play on FV.

I -hate- Qeynos. I'm a Freeporter. I can make sub-par plate. I can make excellent chain. I can make VERY good chain,but I can't wear it?

Qeynos hates me,too. I'm a knight of Innoruuk. The guards do NOT like me.

For this,I'm barred from making the best armor a human can make short of planar. Blah!

three choices:

1) fix your faction to not be KOS. You can justify this from a roleplay perspective as you are going to do it to make armor for innoruuk followers, and make the forces of evil stronger.

2) Invis yourself, and time the use of the forge to between guards. Make all subcombines elsewhere, and just come to qeynos for final combines.

3) FD for your combines. I beleive you can use the forge while FDD, although not certain.

Also, NONE of the freeport armors, with the exception of the imbued field plate, are even worth making. The old seafarers stinks. Has no stats. Worse than rygorr. The NEW seafarers is sub par. barbed ringmail is cheap, and better, for the pieces it is available.

Of course the old qeynos plate is a joke also, as it is VERY difficult to make, has weak stats, even compared to acrylia plate, and wastes a temper that can be saved for Heraldic.

If you're gonna be a GM human smith, you're going to smith in Qeynos. Learn to live with it. Personally, I'd just fix faction to dubious, and roll with it.

You are kos in Qeynos? Did you do something to hurt the guard faction?

As a Bertox human SK I was dub to the guards to start with. I haven't found a city yet where I started kos. Even the cleric and paladin guilds in the human cities weren't kos to me. (Well, to start with anyway, hehe) You really should be at least tolerated if you haven't been killing guards.

Even if you are kos, a few hours of playing wack a gnoll in BB should fix that fast.

There are plenty of people in Freeport that are KoS to me-and some of them give Qeynos faction hits. The corrupt guards love me,though...

As for the chain-I'd wear the improved chain bracers. Better AC than my current ones and the resists are nice (I'm wearing Scavenger/Hero bracers right now).

It's also a matter of pride-wearing my own city's armor is something Morgrist does,he's proud of it (Imbued BP/greaves at the moment-the boots/arms are banked thanks to Lodizal and a nice set of guardian arms).

*ponders* Looks like I'll have to upgrade burning down Plane of Growth some.
