Prstine Scales and Swampwood Staffs

Guild got to 4C and held the top of the pyramid for an evening, and we still haven't seen any pristine scales or swampwood staffs drop. We'd previously held 4C bottom for an evening and didn't find any there either. We cleared out mud temple a couple of times, nada. Next I think we'll do Throne Room for an evening, and then maze/mud temple.

I've only seen a pristine scale once, on sale in bazaar for 3K. I figured why buy it? It obviously exists, so more will drop. but all in all it's just...dust in the wind...

So, any more suggestions of where to look? I'm dyin' here.

I, too, have been hunting scales from all over. I haven't found a single place where they drop more commonly than others, honestly. Basically, find brown lizards and eventually a scale will drop. I, personally, have seen 3.

Pristine Scales

I have 1 pristine scale in my bank, as well as 1 swampwood stave and 1 tae ew hide. Hide dropped off a brown skin my friend accidentally somehow pulled to the zone when me a ranger and a shaman were trioing for blood for their chain. The stave dropped off a brown lizard on top of C4 temple, and the pristine dropped off a green lizard around 4c, pulled by the fleshgrinder guy. The fact I need 6 of these to try combining a plate legs for it to FAIL is making me hate smithing.

Hmmm looks like 4C camping is the way to go then...at least that will interest the tanks who want a Fleshgrinder and the casters who like the FT III necklace quest.
