There are plenty of good guides on the main site that will walk you through the process. Just go to the site and click the link at the top left that says, 'learn a skill', select smithing, and pick a guide that suits you.

There are so many ways to get up to the acrylia plate range that it isn't even funny. The general consensus will likely be something like do OC until Fine Plate is cheaper/easier, then do FP til it trivials (188) then you are at the Acrylia range.

If you want to go higher, you can do Acrylia, Old Cultural (if you have one), Shadowscream, Black Acrylia, CT smithing, or MCS's.
