  • Ethereal sheets question

I read somewhere in these posts someone lvl'd up their skills by making the ethereal sheets. Well, I thought great, but then I was talking to someone in bazaar that is a higher smither and said that you can no longer gain skill from the ethereal sheets. Can anyone confirm this or deny it?

    Thanks

sheets are trivial at 212, but you cant make them if your modofied skill is less then 220.
so, if you have item with + smithing, you may skill up.
there are 2 items in game, which will adds you +15%. So, if you have that item you may skill up from 194 to 212.

And with a geerlok you can get 2 skill points with these, #211 and #212. Still wasn't bad, took 6 combines total for me for those 2 skill points.

        Same here

As soon as I got 210, I did Ethereal Rings/Sheets until I got 212, which took all of 10 minutes (I think 10 combines total). Easiest two points I've ever gotten.

          Ethereal sheets question

Thanks for the replies and info. Looks like I'm going to try the shadowscream route, due to money, time, and the whole logistics of it all. Skilling up by acrylia seems way too much of a burden and cultural for barb doesn't seem much easier as a way to skill up, although, once my brewing is set, who knows.

When PoP first came out you could do the brick combines to go from 200 smithing to 250...

            Then it got nerfed... hard.

However, if you are in a raiding guild you can potientially skill up from 192 or 200 to 212 on Bricks.

To skill up on bricks from 192 to 212 is HARD. You need get X<something> The Creator in Ssra Temple dead and convince him to drop you a +15% smithing hammer (need like 40-ish levels 60+'s depending on Levels/AA's).

To skill up on bricks form 200 to 212 is not as hard IF you are a Large race.
There is a guy in Sanctus Seru who drops a +10% smithing Belt (Praestorium Bikun or something).
He is unslowable, hits for 500's and banishes Tanks quite frequently.
Doable with maybe 3 groups of 60's+ chars. Need mages with the Tanks to Coth them back asap though. Or get them to bind and have wizards TL them back to the fight as they pop in the Jail (whereever that is!).

Otherwise yes, do Shadowscream from 188 to 210 then get the easy 2 pts from bricks THEN start hitting Mistletoe sickles if u have some plat.
210+geerlok should be about break even point if the market is not totally screwed on your server!!

Costs about 7kpp to attempt 20 mistletoe sickles.. so be warned a BAD run can wipe you out if all you have IS 7kpp...
Get enough plat for 2 or 3 runs to be safe(r).

Or keep doing Shadowscream and only do sickles when you get REAL sick of it and need a break (or cant get the Hollowshade war the way you need it).
            Zhorn Spiritwalker, Prophet
            Barb Smith (230) +10% = 252 $$ Rarr!!
