Here's the better question: WHY get deathsteel?

Deathsteel weapons suck. They aren't worth the time and effort to farm the stuff. You can only get the ore in a remote location and then you have to come back and process the ore. Not to mention the temper ingredients.

File it under "useless recipes". Cool name, crap recipe.

maybe cause its a cheap and easy way to get bumps in smithing you dont have to spend money you actually make money from farming death steel stuff

Better and cheaper to vendor it all, sell the skins and salts to Chardok factioners and make ornate chain.

My point exactly. The mineral salts sell for good plat to factioners -- waste to sink them into making deathsteel, which won't sell to anyone.
