My smith and his stupid stats...

Well, I'm frusterated with this bard of mine:

I've spent all I can on a STR outfit, and I think I've done really well, but I still only have him up to 190str unbuffed, and 203 with his STR spell going. Oh, and I have some +5str food as well. I have a low level shaman alt that can buff him for another 10 or so, but I can't figure out how to get him higher than that.

I KNOW I can up his STR by at least 15 more if I reroll him. Is this worthwhile? Is the extra strength really going to make a major difference?

A Thick Banded Belt springs to mind as one upgrade (15 str I think ?).

It's easy!

Ask a shaman real nice to cast Harnessing of Spirit (it adds quite a bit of STR/DEX and should stick you close to 255 STR).
Maybe mention its for tradeskills and be sure to say "please" and not "plz".

I personally don't mind casting buffs on smiths with my 65 Shammie.
HoS lasts 90 mins I think.

Or try to pay one for a Group Focus (need to be group as single focus will bounce off you under level 48 ).

HoS takes my SK from 134 strength to 200, from a 49 shaman. Nice long duration too.

Or if worse comes to worse, you could drink for the extra points.

You will of course, lose int and wis in the process, but will gain a recumbent amount of str.

My smith has 255 str, there is a lot of gear you can buy cheap that gives a lot of strength.

Gauntlets of potence, 15str. Pay no more than 1kpp.
Thick banded belt 15str. 1 - 2kpp
Bracelet of might 15str. 6kpp
Hero bracers 10 str. 50pp
Blackened alloy helm, 6 str. cheap
Cracked darkwood shield, 9str. cheap
Mithril greaves, 7str cheap.
Crystal Chitin gauntlets 10 str, 2kpp
Coterie general boots, 5 str. 100pp
Gantru charm, 5 str (range, neck)
