Ok, im blind and stupid! help: How do i make CT chaintunic?

Hello all

First: i have used search, i have read posts and i have scrutinized the CT recepie page, but i dont see what im doing wrong...

in a forge (non cultural) i (well, my friend with 233 skill + trophy) try to combine:

1 - Distilled Lizard blood, made from 2 ct bloods and 1 vial of distilled mana

1 - Mail sectional mold (called medium banded mold on the tradesuplies page)

3 - sheets of metal - storebought

This DNC!
not with Smithy hammer nor without...

what am i doing wrong? please need help here. and i mean info about every single bit

thats the right recipe, dont know why its not working for you. Only thing I can think of is, are the sheets of metal unstacked? and are you positive those are the items you are using?

1. Are you using a Mail Sectional Mold, and not a small or large Mail Sectional Mold?
2. Are you using 3 Sheets of Metal? Not quality ones?
3. Hammer is not necessary.

Problem solved:
"3. Hammer is not necessary."

In fact, this was the whole problem.
Hammer SHALL NOT be used at all in the forge.
when i said that we had tried both with and without, i was missinformed ops:

I guess smithing at 4 AM makes you kind of slow

Ah well, problem solved, and lesson learned : Tae Ew Tunic is not combined with hammer in forge.

BTW: 233 skill with trophy = 2/3 tunics

Quick question for you...

First, 2/3 at 233? That's great!

Now, the question... what does the CT Chain look like? Is it a standard chain look? (I've heard rumor that they display a dark color of some sort... hoping for clarification)

dude the Tae ew chain stuff is easy, I'm 210+5% and frankly it's been super easy. even if it's triv at 250+ doesn't mean it's not doable. Spend a day in CT with my buddies and ingredients for at least 3-4 tunics.
