Tae Ew Chain Success Rates

Just wondering what the success rates are like at max skill. Is it like the advanced cultural and quite difficult? or is it a good deal easier?

I'm asking because I would be willing to give 5 or 6 attempts to a 201+Geerlok smith in my guild skilling on various things, and I figured I could help him out for the same price that someone would charge me to just click combine.

Pretty easy for the Chain

I'm running about 90% for the Tae Ew Chain, about the same as the Night Terror Chain - far easier than the cultural armor.

For the Tae Ew Shield I'm running 5 for 8. Not sure if I'm just having bad luck with the RNG, or that it really is harder. No idea on the plate.

So far I am 3/4 on shields, 2/2 on legs, and 11/12 on BPs.

250 with trophy.

I am about 12 for 13 on shields and 47 for 51 on Tunics. I have gotten one skill up with them.

I love Tae Ew smithing. It doesn't require a zillion sub combines, the vendor items are cheap, and it's easy to do. I have had better success on Tae Ew than with cultural, PoP armor, and sickles. Plus, when I show guildies what it can make, they come to CT by the truckload to help me farm. I've made a couple of dozen shields for them already, as well as a few swords and chain legs & tunics. No plate yet, still haven't found any pristine scales. :x

We have been hiring 2 250-skill smiths (both in same guild, so who ever is free at the time) to combine the bloods that our guild has been farming for chain. The 250 smiths are like 8/8 on shields and 20/20 on chain tunics and leggings. One of those smiths has the +15% item. Our guild smith is 225, and is 1/3 on shields and 2/5 on tunics, only having an +5% item. We still don't have enough tunics and leggings for all our chain classes yet. It will be some time before there is sufficient left overs to sell the bloods or final items. I predict we will be sick of CT by that time. Iksar jail in sebilis is perma camped, and the adds and pathing in dalnir are worse than droga.

your 250+15% would be just as good if he had a 222 or something like that = p
