Recipes greater than 250

Ok i am a 199, skill ups been rather sparse lately, I do have a geeklok for added 5%, putting me roughly at 210.

So far I have attepted several tae ew combines.
I am 3 for 6 on shields, 1 for 2 on weapons, and 1 for 1 on chain.

Has anyone been able to compare tae ew combines difficulty with say inferno chain and upper level PoP armor? I plan to try my luck on sickles fro comparison, but was wondering if anyone else could please post some success/failures on different combines.

I am especially interested in hurricane chain, night terror, inferno chain and any other PoP chain recipes.

P.S. I send out very little outwork to GM smiths. The commission to a smith doing a 100k+item combine would be a little steeper than i want to spend.

Wow I would say you are incredibly lucky!

5/9 combines is a 56% success rate!
In theory at 210 skill you should have got one or zero successes (min chance 5%).

I am inclined to have a bash myself (raw skill 198+ geerlok).

Is there any consensus as to whether Tae Ew smithing is easier than BD Cultural?
Both are trival > 250 but is one a bit less difficult than the other?

I think (not sure) that I read somewhere that people felt that it was easier to make CT stuff than PoP stuff.... Its late, and I'm to tired to go through all the posts searching for it, heh.

Anyway, my rough record on 250+ stuff is

9/9 on Tae Ew Shields (at 252 modified)
1/2 on Tae Ew Dagger (at 252 modified)
2/3 on Hurricane Chain (at 252 modified)

7/18 (I think) on BD bracers
3/6 (I think) on BD Breastplates
Can't really remember on these two... but the x/x is close and the skills were in the mid 230s.

Anyway, 9/9 seems like an unusual run if it were to have the same trivial as say, a MCS (which I have a painful firsthand experience of) where you would be lucky to get a run of 4 successes in a row. I would presume that the shield at least, has a lower 250+ combine that many other 250+ items. I wish I could experiment further but the drop rates on everything is just too low for that sort of data :? .
