Tae ew mace recipe broken?

Hiyas, went to smith a tae ew mace today.
Using the recipe on the ct recipe section, that being sheet of metal+lizard blood temper+hammerhead mold to make the swampwood staff...DNC
Added a smithy hammer...DNC...added another sheet of metal....DNC...tried a scale temper instead of lizard blood temper...DNC...tried a macehead mold instead of hammerhead mold...DNC...tried a smithy hammer with that recipe...DNC...added an oak shaft...DNC...varied all recipes including the oak shaft...DNC

So, whats the working recipe?

the swampwood staff is a drop in CT, I would assume it's your missing part

Swampwood staff is a drop, and the recipe does work. I failed the combine though.
