• Tae Ew Chain armor

    Hiya,

I have trolled the boards for the last 3 weeks trying to gain a better understanding of the Tae Ew Chain Armor recipe.

One question. Do you need to use the # lizardscale plate sheet: lizard-blood temper (see below), 2 pristine tae ew scales, trivial <=205 for the "Sheet of Metlal" the recipe calls for for the chain armor?

Or for the chain armor will the standard sheet of metal work for the combine?

The regular sheet metal is what's use for the chain armor.

      make the temper

tunic = 3 sheet metals, temper, mail mold

        WRONG

Doesn't use temper. Uses distilled tae ew blood. This is made by brewing TWO of the blood vials found in CT with one vial of distilled mana.

Actually, it isn't very clear. While the normal recipes are as clear as they could be, the Cazic recipes are confusing.

I had the same question, and was actually thinking that you needed pristine scales to make the chainmail also.

The CT page is horribly unclear. I asked in game in the chat channel to verify before I made the CT stuff.

In all honesty, I don't think the CT recipes have been in all that long, have they? Once there's more confirmed information/etc, I'm sure the page'll have the rough edges worked off

Something that I dont see specified is, can the distilled lizard blood and tae ew armors be made in any brew barrel/forge, or is there a specific one that you must use?

Yes. I primarily brew in either PoKnowledge or Shadowhaven. It can be combined at any brew barrel.

The chain combines are usually done in PoKnowledge or Shadowhaven also, depends which is more convenient for the smith.

Please remember, that not all the recipes have been discovered. Before the significant increase in the drop rate in the blood, as well as making it stackable, I am willing to bet that many servers did not have any pieces of this armor at all. I don't think the bracer recipe works. I don't think that enough pristine scales have dropped on my server to make 1 plate leggings or bp: I only know of 1 pristine scale on my server. The amount of cazicite jewelry that I have heard of on my server will not fill a single backpack.

Well seeing as how the item used is called sheet metal and not sheet of metal it could be rather confusing to someone who doesn't smith regularly. I realize the page is still under work, but it is one of the only ones that isn't laid out in a chart format. Even PoP was laid out that way in the beginning. Not bitching about the lack of work done on it, as I know how much work goes into the site, just trying to point out how it can be confusing. I'm always amazed how some who can't see another person's point of view have to respond in a condesending manner.

Maybe I was condescending in my last post, and I apologize for that. However, anyone whose skill is high enough to make Tae Ew Chain does indeed smith regularly, and should understand that "Sheet of Metal" and "Metal Sheet" are the same thing.

I think he means "If I've gotten the drops and I want to go find a smith, it's not so clear to me, since I have no smithing, that Sheet Metal and Sheet of Metal are the same thing"

I know a guy in my guild was trying to get the bits together to take to a smith so all the smith had to do was push "combine", making his life simple We got caught up discussing whether he wanted a regular or large sectional mold and whether they really were just plain ol' sheets of metal (which are both fairly clear, we jut couldn't believe it was so simple )

But, like I said earlier, the page isn't complete. And frankyl I thought they used to be called "Sheet of Metal" since that's ALWAYS what EQTC's called them
