Shar Vahl faction for Shadowscream attempts

Hey,

I've scoured the newsgroups and the actual quest link on Eqtraders about getting the Hammer and Anvil, but I can't find anything regarding the KOS nature of Shar Vahl itself.

So is an Ogre of Rallos Zek intsa KOS in Shar Vahl, and what might I do to raise my faction enough to do these quests?

I don't believe anyone defaults to KOS in Shar vahl...

To get faction in Shar Vahl, you can kill Loda Kai in Shadeweaver Thicket.
There is a cave full of Loda Kai. from Shar Vahl, follow the path straight out and take the second right. The mobs in the cave are level 13-15, so if you are over level 22-25 you should be able to solo the whole cave.
There is also an above ground camp near the cave that has daytime spawns of Loda Kai and nighttime spawns of skeletons.

The various items that drop from the Loda Kai, skeletons, and saureks are used in quests at the tents outside of Shar Vahl that result in various low level armor and faction.

Also, as you're a large race, you can do this quest which ultimately results in this item.

If you havent taken any negative hits to your kitty faction, as a ogre shaman worshipping Rallos Zek, you should be non kos.

The lowest starting faction vs Vah Shir is sole purview of Erudites (both good and evil) Who start out dubious, seems the Vah Shir still hold a bit of a grudge about being blown to the moon, but not enough to kill anyone over it. Everyone else starts out indifferent.

Then they kill an innocent little girl and strip off her nightie. . .

Not KOS unless you've screwed up

Unless you have actively blown your Shar Vahl faction, you are innocent until proven guilty.

My friend's Iksar monk went there when she was just a wee lass. I walked right in and I'm an Innoruuk-worshipping Dark Elven shadowknight.

The Progressive Smithing Quest you need to get your Shadowscream tools will also improve your Shar Vahl faction. Between that and some other things I'm done, I'm now considered amiably in Shar Vahl. But then again, so is my halfling druid now. They seem to like everyone unless they prove they are their enemies.

I must make mention... for future use.

When you slaughter 100s of Lesser shades for their swirling shadows, you get piles of shadeling silk. You can turn these in for faction. Turn them in 4 at a time to the lady cat next to the loom in Shar Vahl.

Only the first part of this quest gives faction.

On you can make it into threads and combine it with LQ rockhopper hides to make leather padding. . .
