Sheet Metal/Sheets of Metal

Got enough items to make a couple Tae Ew Shields or Tae Ew Chain Armor, went to try and find sheets of metal but all I could find were sheet metal, also I did the basic blacksmithing combine of 2 small bricks of ore and a flask of water and got back sheet metal. Any help on this would be welcome

I am honestly not sure what is necessary for the Tae Ew armor in particular, but if it is like normal smithed armor, 'sheet metal' is used for banded type armor, forged weapons, and for sheilds, while 'folded sheets of metal' are used for plate type armors.

Would guess that the sheild would use 'sheet metal', and probably the same for the chain, though normally all non-banded chain uses rings rather than sheets.

The recipe given here is:

Tae ew shields: lizard-blood temper, "a few" sheets of metal, smithy hammer, appropriate shield mold (impossible to accurately guess what mold will need how many sheets of metal. However, guesses are that most will need 1 or 2 sheets )
kite shield (named "tae ew shield" in-game): lizard-blood temper, 2 sheets of metal, kite shield mold, smithy hammer; AC 35, STR 8, WIS 8, INT 8, HP 50, mana 50, sv fire 25, sv disease 7, sv poison 7, sv magic 10, wt 4.5, medium, magic, WAR, CLR, PAL, RNG, SHD, DRU, BRD, SHM; ALL, required level 51, trivial >250
Ive tried using the sheet metal, made 2 sheets and bought 2 sheets, neither worked.

If you tried the sheet metal and it didn't work, I would try a folded sheet of metal, which you get by taking a block of ore, smithy hammer, and water in a forge and combining. It's the one used for fine steel plate.

If that doesn't work, I would have no idea(unless trying a lizard scale plate sheet doesn't work either).

But like I said, I haven't gotten to the CT recipe range.

2 small bricks of ore plus one water flask = one sheet of metal.

The sheet metal purchased from vendors works fine. I've made at least a dozen items using it with no problems.
