  • Smithing components in CT

Been easy enough to find Tae Ew blood, as we've cleaned out CY, Maze, Sewers and Throne Room. But we haven't found any Pristine Scales or Swampwood Staffs yet. Any idea where these drop and off what?

    Yep.

4c for scales & hides. Mobs need to be 55ish+ to drop them from my experience. Also I think I recall seeing one drop in the upper throne room and imgaine they will drop at the mud temple. Swampwood staves Ive ONLY seen drop on the ziggurat or old Archon temple in 4c. If I recall, was off the level 60 brown Lizards, but might have dropped off greens too.

We got one off the 4 corner lizzards in 4c.. Think he was brown. Either way its rotting in the bank as that mace simply isn't worth making IMO.

However the shields are more than worth making. heheh they sell quite well to

They drop at about equal speed in 4c (both along the bottom and up on the temple itself) and Mud Temple. A good rounded group of 60+ can break into Mud Temple and set up in back keping most of the area clear, for the bottom of 4c you are looking for 58+ and to move up the temple I would suggest closer to 61+.

Anyone found any use for the polished and shiny scales I get occassionally from the lizards around the entrance?

Narith suggests a group of 61 plus to go around inside the temple itself to get to the top. I would concur with that. The repops at the top are extremely fast an they are mostly all brown lizzards. When we went to the top took us 2 hours with different things..

We had 61 warrior, 65 monk, 65 enchanter, 64 cleric, 65 druid (Exodus helped alot), 65 Shadowknight.

Monk was tanking it. It wasn't extremely hard but if your sub 60 wouldn't even suggest trying to into the temple.

Huh? Considering people pay 40k for fleshgrinder (12/19 +75 hp +proc), the Tae Ew one handers at 12/20 +3 str, +3 wis +3 int, +50 hp +7 poison, +7 disease are very close to the damage output and offer better stats. Certainly worth making and using without a doubt.

The Tae Ew longsword has the exact same stats as the 1hb without the need of the swampwood staff. On 7th hammer, I have been trying to sell the sword for 13k for probably 2 weeks now with no takers. I don't know why, I think its a fair price. Maybe it just doesn't have the popularity of other weapons yet.

My guild did a raid in 4C last night. We killed all the mobs in the corners, then worked our way to the top where the brown lizards were. We got plenty of blood, but no pristine scales or swampwood staffs. Are they rare drops? Did get a few pieces of Cazicite for our jeweller.

The main reason that the fleshgrinder sells well is the plus 75 hp in combo with a nice proc. It seems with the plethora of good damage/delay weapons that are out there the deciding factor these days seems to be hp/ proc.
