Well, I'm not playing at their level, but I've been trying to collect components for hurricane plate. The sandstorm pearls and storm rider blood are plentiful enough, but drops of pure rain are rare as hell. If this kind of disparity in drops goes up to the elemental planes, I can see there is a real problem.

When I got access to the guild bank to decide what stuff we could make, we had average storm rider bloods, no sandstorm pearls, and eight drops of pure rain. Is it possible they drop more frequently off raid-level targets?

To the best of my knowledge Drops of pure rain drop in the water wing of BoT, fairly uncommonly. Storm rider blood drops a lot up stairs off the winged mobs. I'm not sure where the sandstorm pearls drop, because I've purchased the ones I have, but they're not uncommon in the bazaar.

i dont think any of the drop rates will be "fixed" untill the zone is useless and no one exp/raids there anymore

storm rider blood drops alot from PoS bee creatures in the tree fort thing. One thing he didnt mention is the terrible amount of tempers per plate attempt vs. chain. its like 2:1 ration about. chainmail legs/bp is like 3 tempers vs 6 for plate. Though plane of water materials i've seen enough of all the drops so not sure i complain there.

Drop

The problem with the drops with the drops of pure rain. Seems to be more related to the mob they drop off of than anything else. The sand storm pearls drop of the earth or sand giants if you want to call them that. They don't seem particularly common but they are fequently camped. With the nice safe spots by the named that seems to be a common spot for a single group to exp on my server. That is also the most common wing to see people pulling to zone. At zone the wind wing has very few mobs before you hit a teleporter. Lightning has more but still not enough to keep a full group busy in my experience.

The Problem with water is the ae that a fair number of mobs have in that wing and the lack of a safe spot other than zone. Next result not frequently camped so not alot of drops of pure rain.

Sand storm pearls are frequently camped tho. In my own personal experience i've got 2 stacks of sandstorm pearls and only about half a dozen drops of pure rain.

The real problem with the whole shebang is that THIS:

Looks way too similar to THIS:

When it should be closer to THIS:

Breastplate of Emblazoned Souls: Wt 15.00. +57 AC, +9 Str, +10 Sta, +11 Dex, +10 Int, +6 vsMg, +14 vsFire, +6 vsCold, +14 vsDis, +100 HP, +80 Mana

The current rarity would be fine if the item were equal to where it comes from.
