Whats a Fair price for Tae Ew blood?

Possibly the wrong place to ask... BUT:

Now that Tae Ew drops are up, what's a fair price to offer people for this blood?

Obviously will vary across servers.

It'll be a few weeks (/fingers crossed) before I actually can use the stuff with any degree of success but I may as well try to start collecting it now.

Alternatively I can duo at zone-in with my shaman + rogue I guess

Basically none for sale on E'ci, but if there were I would be prepared to offer in the 1-2k range. Easy enough to get though. And since I started handing out Tae Ew gear to guildies they come running if they hear Cazic Thule mentioned.

Someone was selling a few Tae Ew Blood for 4k each in the Bazaar last night... I didn't buy 'em though.

I've got the shield already & don't play a chain-class character.

Now the Scales, those I'd pay 2k each for (I only need 5 more...)

This is a very "HOT TICKET" item right now. I've seen it as high as 5k(which didn't sell) and as low as 5pp(which I snatched up :shock: )
For less than 1000pp I aquired 7 bloods. Vendors x3, players x2, guildies x2.
Zopharr was kind enough to bang out 3 shields for me and I gave him the 3 left over tempers. 1 failure in 4 combines was a nice surprise.

Since our guild is making lots of chain to compensate for the lousy drop rates of chain in Hall of Testing, it would be safe to say that exactly none of our bloods are for sale at any price. Of course, when every rogue, shaman and ranger (main as well as twink) has a tunic and leggings, and everyone who can equip the shield has one, we might have enough scales to actually attempt to make 1 pair of leggings. I have seen folks offering 2k for the bloods before the increase in the drop rates.

Unfortunately my bottleneck is currently Iksar blood. Can't buy any to save my life, even offering 1k or more for the one I have immediate need for. Spent 2-3 hours in Dalnir yesterday with zero blood to show for it too. Going to have to try and drag guildies down to Seb if I can't come up with any soon.

I'll GIVE you one of my iksar blood - I've never had to pay more than 100pp for one - and that was the high end. If the price is going to go to 1k.....wow.....that's pretty bad.

Tae Ew blood is pretty cheap

I bought 2 off a vendor for 210 plat each and had a guildy give 6 to me

As was stated teh bottleneck IS iksar blood

Ive picked up all but one of my current iksar blood off vendors (its good having max faction (indifferent) with iksar merchants.

Best vendor i had luck on was the vendor in overthere thats close to the warslick zone

Then i got ONE iksar blood to drop in Dalnir. Just ONE!!!

Made 3/5 shields at 213 +15% (245ish effective skill)

But then again on Rallos the only from cazic that can be made that could POSSIBLY sell would be the shield. Even with the high ac the rest of the stuff is considered bad gear.

you shound come to TM for it , there was 10 Tae bloods for 5k each and 4 Iskar bloods for 1k each in the bazaar other day lol

I saw the same 10 Tae Ew blood for 5k on TM, and the 2 iksar blood I saw for sale were going for 1.5k. 5k for the Tae Ew blood is insane, no reason at all to pay a price that steep. I can hunt my own up easier. The Tae Ew might sell at 1k, would probably sell for 500pp. Now, the 1.5k for the iksar blood was almost tempting, given how hard it is to find.

Well, the Shield and the Chain Tunic would PROBABLY sell for 20k (depending on your server)...

20k/20 = 1k

So something around or slightly above 1k/Tae Ew Blood is probably the most fair.

5k is a tad nuts though. 5k x 20 = 100k. I don't see any of the Tae Ew items going to be sold for even half of that amount...

Seen it for 5k twice. I'll even confess that I bought some at that price when I was able to sell tunics for 40k within 2-3 hours of putting them up for sale. <grin>

Now that people are more aware of the armor, however, most people are camping the Tae Ew blood for their guild smiths to make chain for them. Tae Ew Chain prices have dropped accordingly, into the 30-32k range (and it doesn't sell fast).

I'd pay 2k now - and mostly because I have a shammy I plan on eventually getting to where he can wear the stuff. I *might* pay 3k for one or two if I was out of tunics and was in a hurry to put one on my bazaar mule, but with the drop rate so high ... cheaper to camp myself.

So I'd guess 2k, maybe 2.5k. Someone can probably get more from a non-smith just wanting to get 2 for a smith-friend to try and make them something (just like non-smiths would often pay more for BDs before PoP). Generally someone able to afford it has someone who can camp it-- especially with the required level--so the main customers for the blood are probably smiths too low to hunt CT or people who want a friend to make armor for them who are too busy to camp

Agree that Iksar blood is the bottleneck, they used to sell for 25pp each in bazaar, but have never seen any for sale in the last month at all even checking everyday. I have hunted in dalnirs for 3 1/2 hours with no iksar blood dropped. I do have some stored on an alt but wanted to see if the drop rate had increased. Tae Ew blood seems to drop approximately 3 or 4 per hour in comparision. Therefore I think in the future Iksar blood will be worth a lot more than Tae Ew blood.
