I hate to critique a site that has helped me so much with tradeskills but the main troubles I have are the names given here for the ccombines.

Most of them are not the same as what you end up with. For instance the Dark Elf cultural items are not Enchanted Imbued_____ its may be Tier'Dal _____. So when I am after a certain crafted item I have on my Allakhazam wishlist I always come here to see how to make it, but the names do not relate and makes it hard to figure out what to do...except they have recently taken your ideas and made tradeskill pages themselves.

As a good point though, not too many people I know follow their lists because the trivials are way off and people here are constantly helping to keep information accurate.

One other question I cant seem to find an answer for and its Smithing related so I am posting all this here. I am raising my smithing in PoK at the moment cause of convenience and when I was into Plate Mail I bought the Full plate molds (from Borik Darkanvil n370, p497) not knowing any difference but they would not combine. I figured I just bought the wrong type of molds so I went to another vendor and bought small plate armor molds (from Wegal Darkanvil n454, p554).

What is the difference in plate armor molds and full plate molds, or what are the full plate used on?

For the first question: if you can verify that the name of an item is incorrect, post here! That is how we get information!

For the second question: umm... someone else might be able to answer that one but I do not know.

Most of them are not the same as what you end up with. For instance the Dark Elf cultural items are not Enchanted Imbued_____ its may be Tier'Dal _____.
The reason for this is that several of the old tradeskill recipes, while producing very different items, all had the same names. For instance:

I can make a Koada`Dal Breastplate with 23ac. If I enchant the ore before i do the combine, it becomes a Koad`Dal Breastplate with AC 26, DEX 10, CHA 8. I can go one step forward and add an imbued emerald along with the enchanted ore and make a Koada`Dal Breastplate with AC 26, DEX 10, CHA 8, WIS 5. While these three breastplates are all different, they all have the exact same name.

Of course, note at the bottom of the Koada`Dal stat page, that this disclaimer has been posted:
(enchanted version is labeled "Koada'Dal Mithril ___", just like the base version)
(imbued/enchanted version is labeled "Koada'Dal Mithril ___", just like the base version)
So, it wasn't done to make it hard to figure out what recipes go with what items, but to avoid some of the confusion. It'd be fairly confusing to have 3 different recipes with all identical names.

      ---

Full plate molds are used for the Human Cultural armor made in Qeynos. Recipes can be found here.

      Hope that helps!

Thanks for answering so quickly. I sold back the wrong molds and took the loss already, and wont buy them again. Playing a Human isnt my kind of fantasy, heck Im playing one now.

I understand now why the names are the way they are and it kinda makes since but as a person that has to keep 3 browsers up to see what Im actually after, your locations page, and your combine pages; it would may be easier to use the correct name and add the extras in parenthesis as shown:

        Koada`Dal Breastplate
        Koada`Dal Breastplate (enchanted)
        Koada`Dal Breastplate (enchanted/imbued)

Dont worry Im not suggesting the whole staff to shut down the site and do what I ask. I only mention this because the site has and is growing due to everyones suggestions and participating together as OUR site if you will. So thats just my 2cp (and maybe a little more) to keep this site the best hands down for any other Tradeskill related sites.

Actually there is a new database in the works which adresses a lot of the concerns you have. Can't wait for it to be complete.

Sounds great, you guys are doing a great job and Naomi cant be a better host. She adds personallity and human contact when she sends a Rave about how people are disrespectful of her time while shes trying to play or people in forums not using common sense. I am not familiar who all the staff contains because I have become discuntled with EQ and took a few month long breaks. But when I need tradeskil help I came here and picked it right back up.
I am one of the people that love the scenery of the game and exploring while seeing what kewl things I can make. My Enchanter is only level 16 but trivials JC at 188, My cleric was only 15 by the time his Brewing was 185 and level 30 had Fletching at 130 (I was making better arrows than the tank while I was medding). So for me Tradeskills make the game and I look forward to EQ2 for the property we may be able to own and any new tradeskills.
Which brings me to ask, are you guys working on a new site to link for EQ2 and upgraded the servers for such another high demand. This will at least double what you have now. Whatever you have planned...Good luck and I look forward to helping out anyway possible.
