Someone may well have posted this...im not one for reading long posts :roll:

I find it FAR cheaper to just get ur tailoring to 26 with ruined pelts +pattern, then buy the pelts, skin em if you need to and buy/collect silks then make the padding yourself...i pay around 8pp max. each if i sit in EK or EC auctioning for them...you fail about 2 times per stack but its still much more money efficient than buying the padding.

*Ruined pelts also come in abundance on any merchant in an animal zone so you can practice.

So I needed half a dozen for my next round of cultural attempts and I didn't want to spend 20p apiece in the bazaar.

I grabbed enough silks & pelts to make 8 paddings for roughly 12p each - ok, I was being cheap.

I made the paddings, then stuffed them onto my bazaar mule to do the exchange to the smith.

In the time it took me to swap characters, someone came up to my mule and bought the 8 paddings for 49p each - I had sold off a few after my Fine Plate run and never removed the item/price.

WELL, now having paid 12p each originally and made 49p to sell, I took the 296p profit, bought half a stack at 20p each and showed a 96p profit on the exchange...

You can't make this stuff up...
