  • hmm Suma...

I posted on a public SMITH board, which I think not many non-smith use... it was a discussion about smithing considerations, which actually did not lead to anywhere, and I did not want to write anything more about it.

Tae Ew smithing is not new to smiths now, there are quite a few posts about it on the smith board.

I think Tae Ew smithing will soon become public knowledge, but there is a short window where small guilds have a chance to get it, before big ones come camp CT 24x7.

moving my post to Primal Scream, a more public forum than the smith one, was an unexpected result :/

I dont really want to HIDE this info, I just dont want to be the one through whom it should leak out of smith forum - and be /told bad things ingame about it.

and I'm sorry, I'm not sure I appreciate your "harsh comment and lock" about my request, which sounded a fair one to me, but that's irrelevant.

Mimoza I have locked your topic for a reason. I don't wanna see yet another one till Niami has time to read them.

If you want something from the moderators then send them an email or a private message. Thanks.

      Mimoza,

I would STROGNLY recommend that when you hear one or more people telling you to take it to private messages AND you find one or more of your posts locked in rapid succession that you take several steps back and take it to private messages, instead of simply opening up yet another post when you find yours locked and/or moved.

Since you did NOT do so, but rather decided to take your complaints to a public forum, my response to you will be via the same public forum. Any further commentary from you regarding these actions had better be via private messages, unless it's a public apology.

Firstly, when you complain in such a way that the topic can, and will, turn rapidly flammable, my moderators have every right, and are in fact, ENCOURAGED to kick such stuff to Primal Scream. Smithing, especially, is full of hotheaded folks, and I do not want my smithing forum (yes, I pay the bills, I have final say) blowing up yet again because folks are complaining that x is too easy or y is too hard.

Secondly, when my moderators close down a post, you do NOT start playing the "I'll start a new post complaining about my closed post" game. It's a sure way to get your posting rights removed. If you have a problem with one of the staff here, take it to private messages. Bring up the issue with me, if need be, but don't sit there on a public forum and try to undermine the authority of my volunteer staff. They don't have to take that sort of treatment when they are, effectively, operating under my orders.

it was a discussion about smithing considerations, which actually did not lead to anywhere, and I did not want to write anything more about it.
IF it was something that you did not want the world at large to know about it, you shouldn't have posted about it on these forums. Period. This community is based on sharing information, and if you think that posting something in smithing is going to "hide" it from the big guilds, you are sadly mistaken, as we have MANY folks from big guilds who read this forum, AND THOSE SAME BIG GUILDS HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS STUFF FOR THE TEN MONTHS THAT THE RECIPES HAVE BEEN IN GAME.

For someone who did not want to write anything more about it, your actions in multiple posts have done more to publicize the issue than any action by a moderator to move a flammable topic into the Primal Scream Forum.

I really don't like stepping in and slapping hands in a public forum, but, congratulations, you pushed the right buttons, and I'm now unamused.
