Cultural Smithing Limitations?

Appreciate any reply....Im a level 72 shammy but am a level 300 smith....with my trophy (at level 6/7), my smithing is about 336....I tried to make elegant armor...can make the templates fine, but when trying to make the armor, I get a message like "seems to be right, but something is wrong. Maybe you need to do something"....or some message like that.....can i not make this armor because my trophy is not 7/7 yet...or is it the fact that im only level 72 in game (what I think is the problem)?.....

Please advise....

The reason you cannot make the armor is that these recipes require you to first learn them by scribing a recipe book.

The recipe books are sold from vendors up near the PoK library, among other places. These recipe books are skill locked (must obtain X skill to see certain ones on the vendor). At 300, you will be able to see all levels of the books.

You CANNOT experiment to create the upper tiers of cultural armor/symbols.

Well since I knew I was not high enough to get the sublime symbols done I assumed exalted would be around 275. I was wrong. Does anyone have a list of minimum skills on these, I really wish Sony would make this a little more clear but since they do not would anyone mind posting the minimum skill to be able to get the guy in pok to give you the books? This is driving me crazy, these quests are soooo long and detailed wow I just wasted 2 days doing this. Why give us the quest when we cannot do the combines yet? That makes no sense at all to me

Quests are granted based on level, so anyone can do the quests, pretty much.

This is handy on FV server where books are tradable.

The Elaborate level is 275, I believe, everything higher is 300. (Natural skill only)

Are there elaborate symbols? Perhaps you mean to say that Eminent Symbols are available at skill 275?

Anyhow, Exalted Symbols are not available at 277 skill, much to my chagrin. I simply cannot afford anymore bank space, nor do I have the desire, to make myself Eminent ones.

I shouldn't complain, but I guess I am, lol. Hopefully they become available sometime before skill 300, as I would have skipped Exalted entirely if that is the case. I suppose I will keep checking back. It seems odd to me, though, that I can make the 2nd best armor, but not the 2nd best symbols...

EDIT: Ok a search showed me that 300 skill is required for both Exalted and Sublime symbols. With some liberal destruction, I've made an open bank slot and will make Eminents for now. I am, however, a rather sad ogre...

Why are you making Eminent? Make SACRED. Parts are cheap cheap cheap (Rhenium Ore and Bonded Loam) and the skillup rate on symbols is very good. The Sacred Impressions quest is very easy (if not tedious) as well. Best place to farm Rhenium and Bonded, if you prefer to farm vs. buy, is Halls of Honor. The Metal Suits in there are golem types and drop lots of Rhenium/Bonded. The humanoids also drop it of course. Halls of Honor is tradeskill farming heaven.
