Tae Ew Trivials

I made the Tae Ew Shield, chain leggings, and chain tunic, none were trivial at 250. But it must be only slightly above 250, kinda like the nightmare bows, because they don't fail much.

BTW, the blood is called Tae Ew Blood Vial and looks like a yellow vial. Apparently this item used to be called Thul Tae Ew Blood, but not any more.

P.S. the shield recipe returns a Velium Smithy Hammer on both success and failure, even though it starts with a regular Smithy Hammer.

At 250+ skill:

Shields: 13 for 16 (81%)
Chainmail: 27 for 29 (93%)
Weapons: 3 for 5 (60%)

I started 2 for 5 on shields, so i'm thinking they are the same as chainmail, just haven't done enough to even out a "bad run".

Tae Ew Shields

Made six tries last night, succeeded on four. 250 skill plus geerlock.

Seeing as how it was someone with 196 smithing skill who origianally wanted to buy iksar blood I'd picked up here and there (i.e., I had to do no farming) and we did a deal where I kept all components after the first three shields (and still have a tae ew blood and three of my iksar blood left over), I'm pretty happy. <grin>

I'm 225 an I went 2/3 on shields the other day. Not tried any of the other stuff

Other person I know who is 250 has only failed 2. Last run we did was 5/5
Tunics were 4/5 to.

trivials changed since patch?

I tried a couple combines today (only 2) but failed both. A friend said she had 1/11 since the patch. Anyone else got data to share?

I tried one tunic, 1 leggings, she tried a mix of chain and shields.

More Data and Shield Picture

I am 250 skill with trophy and Geerlok both equipped:

7 for 9 on Chain Tunics (sold 2 in Bazaar, 5 to guildies). The chain is a very very dark green, almost black chain look.

12 for 15 on shields (a lot of guildies now carrying around car hoods). It is a VERY big shield and the shield graphic is pretty unique:

I kind of want to try a chain Tunic since it seems better than the Hurricane, but the shields are too good for my guildmates atm to waste 2 blood on a curiosity, hehe.

Undoubtedly just bad luck and I expect to have many more chances, but guildmate brought me 2 bloods over the weekend and I am now 0 for 2 on the shields. Previously was 0 for 1 on the leather legs. Tailor and blacksmith are both 249/250 plus gm trophies.

Seems very similar to the rates on BA weaps and Nightmare chain. That shield makes my pally friend look like he's wielding his own personal wall. Anyone have a pic of a dwarf, gnome or halfling wielding one?

Tae Ew Shield Graphic on Small Races

:lol Yes Koneko, my guildies have taken to calling themselves the "Car Hood Brigade" or the "Coffee Table Kings" because of what we look like toting about those rather large shields.

I don't have a picture, but on smaller races the shield has the identical graphic, just smaller sized, but in similar proportion to the one shown in my picture.
