Upper Jail in Sebilis seems to drop about one per cycle of four necros.

Cleared out the treasure hunter camps in TT around entrance to Seb. Did it two or three times, got no iksie bloods. Best I've found is Gang in Seb.

Spent maybe 90 mins-ish Dalnir, cleared floor one and two twice, got ONE blood!
(Was from a naked iksar model, not a guy with pants on).

Sat at the iksar bandit lord spawn point in Warslicks Woods for maybe an hour or more.
Killed lots and lots of Exiled/Pariahs. Saw ZERO bandit lords. Got ZERO bloods.

Tried to whack a Cabalis guard for a laugh....
Would not MR slow even with Malo.
        Runs FASTER than sow... Unrootable...

Next time I'll bring my 63 Rogue along and rip him a new one!

I think I need to go try Seb Jail!

          FoB

I have been slaughtering in FoB near the tower for about 12 RL hours. I'm farming poison sacks for make poison, but of all the iksars I've whacked, I haven't seen a blood drop yet.
Figure I've killed 100+ of them. Brigands, bandits, marauders, manslayers, and the occaisional rogue shaman.

Well, I randomly tried killing the Iksar Slaves in Ssraeszha Temple. Killed all the ones on one side, and the 4 acolytes in the middle well-thingy and didn't get any blood. Ran out of time (and patience) so I didn't slaughter the ones on the other side (both 'sides' I am referring to are on the left side as you go into the basement, I am referring to the sides of the small well-temple thingy).

Slaughtered every spawn on the top floor of Dalnir for a couple hours and didn't get a single one.

I have been known to camp the Iksar Bandit Lord, so I might do that.

            Or try Dulak...

The 2 bloods I have came from vendors, gave 1 to someone who was experimenting with a formula that hadn't been made at the time. Other still sitting on a mule. Wheeeee

              *sob*

I sold one to an NPC last night cleaning out my bags after a bad CR.

Think I got 2 gold or less for it...

Before the screwed Nurga up about a year ago the Iksar slaves did drop blood.
I had 3 stacks of blood at one time and sold 2 of them thinking I'd never make Iksar Cultural. Wish I had known at the time it was used to make CT stuffs

OK, now I'm utterly baffled. From all I've seen here, Iksar blood is generally considered rarer than Tae Ew blood. Both are required for the temper to make the assorted Tae Ew items.

On my server (Veeshan), folks are insisting that Iksar blood is about as common and as valuable as Froglok blood -- and I find bucketloads of that on vendors! In the few months I've been merchant mining, I've found four or five stacks' worth of Froglok blood, and it sells well at cheap prices. I've even found about 12 Tae Ew blood at various times, and those sold well at really high prices. (Two orders of magnitude greater than Froglok blood.) Yet in that same time, I've found ONE Iksar blood on a merchant, and NONE in the bazaar. (Granted, I didn't always look for it, but when I did, it wasn't there.)

So why in the world do folks insist on pricing the Iksar blood like the Froglok? The price should be much closer to Tae Ew blood, as the rarity of the drop is also closer.

Does this make sense, or am I missing something obvious?

Where are you seeing these prices Kryo? I am on Veeshan and I can regularly buy froglok and sarnak blood in the bazaar at 10 to 20p a blood. Tae Ew blood is right at 5k although I have seen it at 4k a couple of times. Iksar blood I have seen anywhere from 3k to 10k in the bazaar. Never cheaper than 3k.

Personally, I would not pay that kind of money for iksar blood, but it is just as rare as Tae Ew blood. The only difference is you don't have to be 60+ to get iksar blood on your own.

Iskar blood has been confimed to drop in Dulak off iksar modeled mobs (crew member, dock guardian, etc.) We were exploring, so not really after anything specific, but got 2 bloods in about 3 hours...along with a rather mind numbing array of other meats, bloods, and quest items. Hope this helps.

I wanted to avoid actual prices, as they're server-specific and not generally applicable. Having said that, here's my data.

I was never able to sell Sarnak blood at all; it's on most NPC vendors you care to name for about a plat each. =) Froglok blood sells well for me at 15 - 20pp. Tae Ew sold for me at 5500pp about a month back; I now see it for around 5000pp.

A guildmate bought his Iksar blood (for a Tae Ew shield) in the Bazaar for 20pp; and the one person who asked me about Iksar blood offered 50pp, implying it's double his normal price. I have one blood up for sale at 4000pp, which I feel is in line with its rarity and utility, but I have had neither inquiries about it nor sales. I wanted to set the price at 5000pp, but all this doubt made me drop the price by 20%.

                        I'm stumped.

                          Iksar blood pricing

I think the problem with Iksar blood is that for most people they can farm it with patience. It's hard to spend 5k or even 3k on a smithing component that you know you can farm. I think Tae Ew Blood will continue to sell at 5k, because of the difficulty of the zone.

Just as an example, I have done some Tae Ew combines for a smaller guild on our server. They spend 3 or 4 hours as 2 groups to get half a dozen Tae Ew Bloods. On the other hand, they have one guy two boxing in seb jail for half a day to get a dozen or more iksar bloods. The Tae Ew is just a lot more difficult to get.

If you are trying to sell the stuff, I would try 1500 or 2k and see what happens. I'll bet you would sell it pretty regularly at 1000. For me, I probably wouldn't buy unless it was under 500p. At 200p I'd buy all you had.

Another reason people are willing to farm the blood in Sebilis is faction. With the Crown of Deceit quest before, and Gukta now, people are killing Seb frogs en masse for faction anyway.

My husband plays a 62 shaman and I am a 60 bard. We duo together and keep gang/necro clear as well as the surrounding wandering frogs. In a night, we can easily make 4k each, get 3 or 4 iksar bloods that go to the guild tradeskill bank, and we're both amiable with the non-Seb frogs now.

BTW, to single pull the necros, you just need a bard. I didn't start pulling gang/necro until I was 55, but I was able to stay out of aggro radius and sing lull (the level 8 version) on the one I didn't want. Then I would fire up resist song and pull the one across the hall with OOS. They always came single this way. I imagine anyone with Pacify (i.e., cleric/pally) could do it just the same. The key will be to find out how low you can be to get line of sight but still stay out of aggro range.

And at level 60, I still get AAXP farming in Seb. So all in all, it's a good place to go even if the iksar blood is rare.

Just don't take my camp spot if you're on Mith Marr.

to single pull you just need to be smart about = p

I'm a wizard 62 and I single em all the time.

Soloing/Duo-ing CT entrance + courtyard mobs is fun.

That new shaman 4 minute PoP root spell owns $$ (keeps one rooted for AGES while I put da smack down on the other one).
I'd say any caster with that can "single" pull those guys!

Spent an hour or so there the other day and got two Tae Ew blood.

If my rogue was 65 and not 63 I would stand behind them and try to pick pocket the stuff.

I think a 65 rogue can pickpocket non-magical stuff from level 60 mobs.

Will need to level fast and then check this out though!!
