I can see it now. You log in and get the message "You currently have a skill of xxx in Fletching. We have decided to create Bowyering and Fletching. Please select which you would prefer to maintain your skill in." That would make for some fun days on the chat board.

Making weaponsmithing a new tradeskill

Historically, master armourers and master weapon smiths were very different. Yes a master weaponsmith could make generic armours, but no where near the quality of those made by the master armourer. And the master armourer was capable of making weapons, but nothing like the work of a master weaponsmith.
I think it would be interesting to make them two seperate skills. If we made them branch a bit at say the 188 mark (trivial for FS plate) then both could make anything with a lower trivial, but higher trivial items would require the specific skill.
However I am all for making better weapons to smith with the existing skill too. Honestly I think it silly that an ogre smith can make some very exceptional armours, but the weapons he is capable of making are not even bought for twinks.Come on guys, one more pull. What is the worst that could happen?
