  • Cultural Smithing Question

Can an Ogre who worships Rallos Zek create the cultural/diety specific armor for Cazic Thule if the correct gem is used after being imbued by someone else?

As in can I do the final combine even though I worship a different god?

If the "cultural/diety specific armor" is Ogre cultural armor, your ogre can use the ogre cultural forge in your home city and the correct gem imbued by a 29th level or higher cleric of Cazic Thule to make the armor.

So I should be able (when making dwarven plate) to substitute the imbued ruby with an imbued peridot to produce the other dieties armor pieces?

Only I tried this at the kaladim cultural forge during my last smithing session and it refused to combine with the imbued peridot, replacing the peridot with the ruby and it combined ....... or am I missing something?

It depends on whether or not there is a recipe for it.

If you take a look at the Dwarven Cultural Smithing page, you see that for imbued/enchanted dwarven chain, the recipe lists both a Brell (ruby) and a Bristlebane (peridot) recipe; the enchanted/imbued dwarven plate lists only a ruby recipe, so the peridot recipe presumably does not exist--which your experience confirms.

I *can* confirm that as a Brell-worshipping dwarf, I have made both Underfoot (ruby imbue) and Mischevous (peridot imbue) platemail; likewise Garshok, a Zek-worshipper, has made Crimson Darkscale (RZ), Blackened Darkscale (Inny), and Fulvous (CT). The DNC you are getting is because the recipe doesn't exist, not because you are a Brell-follower.

Hmmmm no I was making dwarven plate at the time. I tried it with various pieces and every time I tried with an imbued peridot it would not combine, replaceing the peridot with an imbued ruby and it would combine. I am about to do another run so will double check.

*edit* oops reread above post and see what you mean
