Cultural Smithing error mesage

OK, I looked in this forum for an answer before starting this thread, but I seem to have run into a snag not covered here. I am a Master Smith with a skill of 300. I am trying to do a Cultural combine, and am getting an error. First, the combine is for the Troll Smithing recipe for Elegant Nightkeeper Armband. When I try to do the combine, I get a message that everything seems correct, but something is wrong. Perhaps if I knew something more. Like I said, my skill is 300, I do NOT have the GM Trophy though, and am only using a Geerlok Smithing Hammer for skill mod, which puts me at 315. Does my skill need to be higher? Do I need to have done my Tradeskill Trophy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go buy and scribe the Elegant Smithing book from the vendors next to the Great Library in the PoK. Look for the drakkin named "a cultural discoveries historian".

yup need to scribe the elegant culture book. I got the same message on my dwarf til i scribed it.

You cannot experiment to create a piece of Elegant armor. (or exalted or sublime symbols). These require you to learn the recipe through another method, the recipe book. As noted, the merchants in PoK sell them.

Scribing the recipe book will allow you to open the tradeskill UI and search for any/all of the recipes of that level (there is a book for each armor level and each symbol level).

Ok 20th attempt at trying to make this sublime symbol of integrity for this guy and It is still not letting me attempt. I have bought every scroll from pok, and it is not working. I tried zoning even, any clue here?

What are the exact components you are trying to combine?

P.S. you have completed the Sublime Quest yes?

Are you attempting to experiment or are you using the tradeskill UI?

Are you 300 skill?

You have to scribe the armor books after buying them in order to learn the recipes.
