What skill level for elaborate?

curious what (unmod) skill level the elaborate scroll will show at?

since elegant is 300 and im 235 unmod perhaps 250? or 275?

true, but you can still make the armor and learn the recipe by using experiment mode..

I'm not so sure you can do that anymore. I recently tried to make my elegant armor this way and was unable to until I scribed the proper book.

Elaborate armor, if you had made it prior to the implamentation of the recipe books, would show up in your favorites.

After the recipe books were implamented, you can only create new pieces of armor by searching for the item in the tradeskill UI and you can only get the recipe into the UI if you scribe the new recipe book which is locked at 275 skill.

You can experiment to make templates of all levels to your hearts content, but armor for the higher levels (elaborate, elegant, eminent, exalted, sublime) is skill cap locked.

I do not recall if Sacred Symbols and Intricate armor also had a skill cap on them as I was well above the caps when the recipe books were added.

Yes its possible that either one is a bug. Ngreth will know and I'm betting will follow up when Time* is available

as of 7-26-08 elaborate is make able AND learn able in TSUI using experiment mode....elegant is not. /happydance

Thanks for the update then that only Elegant, Exalted, and Sublime are restricted to having to purchase the recipe book.

I would still recommend people get the recipe book when it becomes available so you can more easily access the recipes for all the armor slots.

yeah im guessing since elaborate was originally a DoN armor it would have been unfair and a pita to rework it to fit the newer armor quests/levels.

so it might be more of a loophole than a bug.
