Success on Sublime Armor/Augs?

I was determined to find this through search, but could not find any exact information. I did find a couple peeps speaking about success/failures with only a few combines under their belt.

I wanted to make the Stormguard Sublime Armor for myself. I do have the cultural recipes, but was curious as to the success? I've asked a couple in game, one said they havent failed, another said 35% failure rate, antoher said 35% success rate. Surely there has to be a noticeable difference between the bracers and chest/legs.

Same goes for the Augs. I've nearly completed my sublime aug quest. Are these running similiarly? The calculator speaks of very high % numbers when attemtping these with 15% mod, 300skill and all AA's.

I'm expecting failures, even several consecutive, but again, I've heard 35% success and 70%+ success.. which is the more accurate?

No-one has likely made the top level armor and augs in sufficient quantity to get anywhere close to determining statistical variability with any accuracy. All you will get are urban legends and rumours.

I have never failed a combine when facing east, holding my trophy in my left hand and having a 3 slot bag in my 4th inventory slot at the Crescent Reach Forge.

I've made a few more than 4 full sets each of sublime augments and elegant armor. Not statistically reliable, but I've also spoken to others and can judge by what still others are communicating as their prices. I suspect that 35% failure is about right if you have maxed trophies and the smithing/ tailoring tradeskill AAs done. A 35% success rate may apply if you don't have these. And yes, the chests / legs fail more often than the bracers.

I have had success rates similar to what the calculator predicts for my skill level/mod/mastery.

I suspect you could simply be hearing information from varying sources.

I have succeeded on 5 of 7 armor pieces (failed once on legs and once on bp).

I have succeeded on 16 of 18 sublime augs (varying slots).

On chest/leg armor/symbols, based on the calculator, the best chance you can have (15% mod and mastery 3) is 75.75%. If you do not have mastery 3 and are only using a 12% mod, you would only have a 42.5% chance of success.

Again, there are no hard coded success caps on these combines. Therefore, the calculator should be fairly accurate in predicting your success rate. Again, that is not to say you can't fail 5 in a row.
