Ok, I can now confirm this, since I've done it more than once. Placing multiple Celestial tempers into the forge while making imbued rings WILL EAT THE TEMPERS. You have been warned.

Just to clarify. Do you mean placing two or more celestial tempers stacked (this would be game problem that you should /bug) or unstacked (which would suggest a new recipe)?

This has always been the case.
recently, they supposedly patched that problem, but reports have suggested the patch works only for certain items, in certain recipes.
I think ALL tradeskillers have made a mistake like this at some time in their EQ lives, but OUCH! Has to hurt when its blue diamond tempers.

Once was enough for me, and that was just a stack of HQ folded sheets!

I believe the patch fixed the problem in HELD containers (fletching kits, sewing kits, etc), but not in WORLD containers (brew barrels, forges, etc).
Unfortunately the patch message said that all the combines were fixed, maybe they didn't think to check the world containers

Yes, I did it twice, and both times an admin lvl GM returned the tempers (9 and 4). Losing 13k would not have been fun=P
I have had other combines where you cannot do this any longer, stacked items just won't work, but for this, it does eat everything, that's why I posted this warning(and /bugged it).Comment

I did this on my 8th shawl quest with the gems. I didn't realize I could petition to get things back though. Just went an got two more emeralds from those stupid golems.
Good to know though I can get it back
