Exalted Quest and Adult Mammoths

Ok, I have found large mammoths, woolly mammoths, baby mammoths and elder mammoths. Where are the adult mammoths hiding in Ice Fall?

From zone in from the Steppes, go to the left (West) of the river. I have only seen 4-5 adults up at a time. Several spots seem the best to get them to spawn. The 2 larger mamoths and a baby near the N end of river, before the falles to go up higher, then there are a group of 3 larger + a baby just S-SW of those. There's another set in the middle, but they're too dificult to describe where they are exactly, then the final sets are around the ponds to the West wall.

I found the ones on the west wall (be low the snow leopards) by the pond to spawn the most. But, it appears they can spawn in any of the mommoth spawn poins in the lower plains area (I have never seen one spawn in the elder momoth area above).

So just keep killing Large Mammoth and Wooly Mammoth and the Adult Mammoths will eventually spawn.

If I remember correctly, all (or nearly all) the adult mammoths had PHs that were babysitting young mammoths.

Good luck with this part. Very frustrating i found. The adults can spawn anywhere there are baby's close. Other types are PH for them. I have killed over 60 adults now, have 3 impresions so far. Well over a hunderd mamouths in total to clear PH's.

I have to doubt the baby theory because I have seen the Adult mammoths spawn from the roaming mammoths.

Kill large mammoths.

Large Mammoths and Wooly Mammoths (both stactic and roaming) can spawn the adults. This is also consistent with the other spawns (for instance, the darkroot shaman in Direwind).

The best bet is to clear as many as you can handle and keep repeating until you the spawns you need.

The ones baby sitting are just more likely to spawn as adults. The Mammoths were the easy part for me, the shamen took forever though.

Another tip, instead of trying to get all of the mammoths at once, which may drive you cuckoo, check out the zone once a day for a week or two, you may find enough adult mammoths up over this time frame that you won't have to worry about spawning any.
