  • Calculator for tradeskill armor?

Heya. Been enjoying these forums as a quiet observer for quite some time now, but figured it was time to start posting as there was something I was looking for and was unable to find on my own

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what's worth getting made and what's not for a multitude of friends who have new chars (and myself as well). Checking stats on each item/aug by hand and then adding them together, and finally comparing them to dropped/quested/etc gear can be a very tiresome process. Was hoping there was some smart guy out there who's taken the trouble to put together something like this JC calc (but for the smithable armors, obviously):

(Remove the blankspace manually - I wasn't allowed to post links without a higher postcount, but I figure that's just to prevent spammers, not harmless questioneers like me)

Your best bet would be to use somethign like Magelo to make a profile and then play around with the profile, adding and moving augs to see the results.

Kyros is usually pretty meticulous about things like this and I imagine he is already working on a new version of the calulator that allows you to enter your level and see what stats you would get.

Until then, yes, try Megalo or take notes while you test them yourself.

I foudn using the calculator for jewelry to be buggy as it would show to right but if put in level then had to reload this every time. If put in wrong levle also as am 80 and only goes to 75 nothing happens. This may be the case. Make sure for each you reload it every time. once I started doing that and using level 75 it worked fine.

Um, Bedazzlerr, which calculator are you talking about? The JC calculator doesn't have a level at all.

As for an armor calculator, I may do that at some point, but it's not a trivial amount of effort to put it all together. In addition, with possible changes pending, I'd rather not have to redo it in a month or two or three if the proposed changes go live. If I have some free time in the near future (unlikely), I may give it a shot, but no promises at all on that front.

Edit: At some point pretty soon, I'll update the JC calculator to take into account the new recommended levels and the steep curve. It will probably be based on the new changes Ngreth has posted (with rec levels on the metals), not the current implementation (rec levels on gems).

I believe the calculator he is referring to that has an issue with level is the charm calculator does not like levels > 75.
