This has nothing to do with AB. It is pure random chance and AB is in no way unique there. The worst that AB would do is more of a chance at a rollback, but that is not what you are complaining about.

You need 6 impressions and 20 kills. 6/20 = .3 That is 30%, and the formula is add 5% to that and you get the % chance to get an impression.

2 kills each with a random of 35% to get the impression. That is a REALLY small sample size to try and claim that it is not working.

Guys, I think he means his kill counter didn't update when he killed adult mammoths. I don't think you need 20 impressions for the mammoth step, unless my memory is going bad (which is very possible) -- it should be five or ten, something like that, I forget off hand.

All aug tasks are a 20% impression rate, or a 25% chance to get. Unless the lvl 80 task is a different one, as I haven't done that one, but this is true for all of the tasks up to the lvl 75 augs.

It's 20 kills and 4 impressions for adult mamoths. And as the most worst case scenario I've seen. Never had a kill not update, but have taken over 80 kills to get the 4 impressions on a toon. Best case I've seen is 5 kills for 4 impressions.

It is very random.

Right maybe i wasnt clear, did not get the counter to update with the kills. Since finished them and moved for the shaman.

Here is a question that me and a guild mate got into. I was primary looter and he got mad as said he need to loot to get the impression also. is this a fact? I am under the impression that you kill mobs and if there is an impression it appears in book. We were grouping 1) to kill mobs easier and 2) figured like raiding or grouping that quest updates for one updates for other.

Which is correct answer please.

You get the update as the mob dies, not when someone loots. Just have the book on you.

This quest specifically only cares that the mob dies. The random check is done on mob death, not on loot.

Maybe it is an AB thing, as I had a couple of shaman kills not update while doing this task on AB.
Could be an "out-of-sync" thing like when a song drops immediately after it starts. It did make me curse a bit as the Shaman are a PITA to get to spawn.
