  • Cost of AGAA?

Can anyone give an exact cost of how much the smithing portion of an AGAA now costs?
(not the farmed components but the golden plates)

    Thanks!

I tried to create a spreadsheet for myself to analyze the costs of the new AGAA and AOAA as well as the AAAA to compare my costs to my prices in the bazaar.

A few assumptions I made. When purchasing refined ore, you buy 100 large bricks, 13 blocks for use in making the Blocks of High Quality Steel. By averaging the price per Large Brick of (Golden/Opal) High Quality Steel in this manner, I got a cost of 313.336 platinum for a Block of High Quality Steel and 397.328 platinum for a Block of Golden High Quality Steel. Small Bricks of Refined HQ Ore were used to make the Small Pieces of HQ Steel needed for the hinges and latch was done separately and included in the creation of the Poxysmit's Amalgamator Frame and Cover. These do use some of the Golden HQ Steel Plates in them but the HQ Hinge and HQ Latch are not in the total smithing cost below.

Needing 38 Blocks of Golden High Quality Steel and 4 Blocks of High Quality Steel makes the smithing subcombines a total cost 16,351.808 platinum to create the blocks needed for the AGAA. (The mechanoinstruction reader uses regular HQ steel, not golden HQ steel.)

And do the cost of ABAA. No one has made one on Maelin (according to /buy) yet and when someone needed one, the general census said it's probably not worth making at all. Stats from Discordant and chronital seals aren't worth the cost of making ABAA.

Will take some time. I had not planned on making the ABAA and because it does not use the refined ore to make the HQ steel, it will be much cheaper. Also there are some other substitutions from dropped clockwork gnome bolts to vendor sold gnomish bolts that also affect the total cost.

Again, the cost I posted is just to create the Blocks of HQ Steel and Blocks of Golden HQ Steel needed to craft 1 AGAA and is not the total cost of the container. There is still a lot of other vendor items and some drops that are needed.

it cost me 18,481.5 to make 1 agaa. i use the small ore as well from the vendor.
i actually made 2 and cut the cost in half, is how i came up with it and maybe why our numbers are different.

You need 126 Large Bricks of Refined High Quality Ore to make 1 AAAA/AGAA/AOAA.

For the cost from a vendor, buying Large Bricks is cheapest. However, at any 1 time, those vendors only stock 100. The next cheapest way to obtain Large Bricks is to buy the Blocks and use a smithing chisel to break them down to 2 Large Bricks. They cost more than twice the Large Brick so they are a bit more expensive. Do not have my spreadsheet in front of me to give exact numbers, but I believe they are accurate on the main site if you want to go look them up. 3 Small bricks of refined high quality ore are required to make 1 large brick (combine with water) and the 3 cost more than 1 block.

Large Brick of Refined High Quality Ore
Block of Refined High Quality Ore
Small Brick of Refined High Quality Ore

This is why in my calculation I account for 100 Large bricks and 13 Blocks (26 more large bricks) and then divide the total cost to purchase those by 126 to find what my cost per large brick actually was. If you used small bricks (because that was all that was available from the people who seem to buy these merchants out the minute the servers reset) and don't want to respawn the merchant yourself from unrefined ore quest, your costs will be higher.

Also, there are 2 small bricks of refined high quality ore that are needed in addition (well 1.5) to make the small pieces of refined high quality ore for the hinges and latch. These bricks were not included in that number I posted.

Also, this does not account for any failures on these subcombines.

The smithing portion of the AGAA without failures costs 16391.290 pp.

This is using 100 large bricks and 13 blocks of refined high quality ore.

The entire AGAA costs 19885.387 pp for vendor purchasable parts.
