Human FP Cultural bugged

I did this recipe:

appropriate plate mold, smithy hammer, sea temper, leather padding, chain jointing, appropriate number of high quality folded sheets of metal

with and without imbues, i tried doing a metal bits combine in the FP cultural forge, and i got container type error, so i know its the right forge, i also tried the combine in the qeynos cultural forge and got a container type....so it seems that field plate recipe is broken or something... seeking confirmation of other servers

You should verify and see if you're using:

The Freeport Forge?
The appropriate Plate Mold? Not banded?
An imbue that exists for Field Plate?
The appropriate number of folded high quality sheets of metal?

Verify the above and try again.

I bet you are using the wrong mold.

I did the same thing.

Forge/mold

Using the forge on the platform, right? Not the one near the door.

Also, make sure you're using fine steel molds...not Full Plate. Also, pretty sure they need to be medium molds, not large/small.

would they be the same molds used for acrylia armor?

Plain smithy hammer and not Acylia ? or Velium? I did FP bracer and it still works for me.

I dont know off hand, to be honest. They are the ones you buy in freeport itself. Ikthar's I believe.

Please post THE exact name of the mold you are trying to use, there is someone every month who posts that "xyz armor/weapon is broke!" and in 90% of these cases the problem is the wrong mold.
There are at least 3 types of molds you can buy in freeport, plate, banded and full plate.

i used the same mold i used to successfully make acryila plate, i believe its just called plate <whatever> mold

Ok I'm loging on my human smith to make a combine.
Make sure that you made the chain jointing out of normal ore and not MQ or HQ.

Its not bugged, I made some pieces yesterday without any problems

Are you sure your using the right forge? its the one behind the warrior guild on the deck.

Are you using the right sheets of metal? You made the high quality sheets of metal by combineing a block of HQ ore, water and smithy hammer right?

I was able to fashion a field BP (unimbued) and made a failed combine on a karana imbued field BP so the recipe works.

/shrug, maybe wrong chain jointing.
