That depends...

If you are willing/able to farm Acrylia & Windstones, I would suggest a mixture of Acrylia Plate/Chain & Shadowscream.

The only reason I say this is because just farming Shadowscream (especially those rotten No Rent Swirling Shadows) can be a mind-numbing exersize.

How much are smiths willing to pay for "swirling shadows" from tradeskill-supply PC traders? I realize trying to farm them is kinda boring, being the ss is NO RENT, but if someone in the bazaar had some, would they sell?

Guess this isn't as unlikely as it sounds, with more players getting accounts to have full-time traders while they play their mains.

Given what a pain it is to collect the Shadowscream components, I would continue Fine Plate BP's until 188.
(i.e. get as much milage as possible from that as it only requires you to get leather padding).

I was tempted to start on SS at 187 but then after I pharmed a whole lot of shrieking, wailing and swirling stuff I decided I had better get my last point from Fine Plate BP's....
(given that it seems to be 20 combines per skill up post 188 - from what I have read. May get harder the higher you go?)

It sounds like windstones are a REAL pain in ass so primarily do Shadowscream with a bit of Acrilya to break up the boredom as suggested.
That is my plan as well.

ALSO, should you luck into a large amount of plat, do some Mistoe-cutting sickles.
Though at roughly 370 plat per attempt (I think), it gets REAL pricey.
You may or may not be able to sell the successes for much depending on what server you are on.
(They looked to still be 3kpp on my server, Tribunal. But may be as low as 1k on others??)

I'm sure people would probably buy them.

The only problem I can see is if someone pharms a bunch, sticks them on a trader who then LD's....

Given that you can keep no-rent gear on a corpse by having someone /duel you, pharming them in quantity is not quite as big a pain as it would otherwise be.
