  • POOF! Bye bye Vah Shir Hammer/Anvil

Came back from checking stuff on the net...
    Noticed Forge would not close...
Walked backwards and...... POOF! Empty forge
    Bye Bye Vah Shir Hammer/Anvil!

Should I petition to get it reimbursed? Or just go quest a new one?
Thankfully I can skip the broodling part.

Whats worse is I logged off in a huff and lost a stack of swirling shadows (8 of which would have got me a new hammer/anvil).

    /sigh

Got a skill up to 189 on my first 16 combines though.

In the time it takes you to get reimbursed, you'll be able to grand master smithing (or at least make the orbs and swirly things, to get your hammer back.) No real point in waiting, since you probably saved the tunic.

I done this as well, petitoned got a guide who told me he would raise it with a GM. I redone the quest because I had swirling shadows on me, now I have it back from completing the quest and it has been nearly 2 months and still no GM contact.

Do the quest again it is simple.

Mine vanished, too. I /petitioned and then went to shar vahl to redo the quest. Before I was done, a GM showed up and gave them back to me.

            I was mucho happy.

              /petition and redo the quest

I am not going to lie and say the GMs are swarming to help us all hours of the day, but GMs are willing and able to help. If your play times are regular hours PST (meaning 7AMish to maybe 9PMish) then go ahead and petition it or go to the eqlive site and go to contact your your GM under support if you can't hang online or have odd hours.

In the meantime, restart the quest. Hopefully you kept the tunic which is your worst time sink depending on your luck. If you get the quest done before a GM helps, well you're done right? If the GM helps you half way through your farming, you get more stuff to make hummers with. It's a no lose proposition if you ask me. Shtuff happens and the way you deal with it is what counts. It's best to do what guarantees you are getting your equipment back one way or another.
