At the risk of being criticized for my lack of a real sample size, and knowing full well the randomness involved in getting skill-ups, something seems seriously wrong. When the new recipes came out, smithing was my last skill to max at 296. The first few days I went through at least several hundred cobalt/tungsten templates, and approximately 30 elaborate pieces just from the loams and ore I had collected before the recipes went live. Zero skillups.
Since then I have had time to quest and evolve 5 GM trophies while intermittently using up ores from my buyer mule, still with no luck. So I have just let the ore pile up on my buyer for the last few days, and I just did over 400 cobalt chain glove templates, trivial at 350. I am still stuck at fing 296. Are other people experiencing this or am I just incredibly unlucky. I would rather do tinkering again than this crap.
