Good way to 300 for Erudite Smith

Sorry, been rifling through threads but havent found much in particular in regards to Erudite's. Not sure if DoN cultural or MCS would be better or if there is another recipe I Can use. Currently at 238 in Blacksmithing skill.

Has the current standard skillup path. Erudites use Midnight Stones for masters cultural so that might not be viable, depends on how common they are or how much you want to farm them. Alternatively as was just pointed out to me, you can try the Artisan clay till 262 - uses Steppes Ore - depending on its availability and price on your server.

Well, I ground through 200 MCS and got to 245 in Smithing. I am currently buying up all Midnight stones and Steppes ore. Is there another route that is either buyable or easily farmable taht I can do other then Shadowscream?

I am an Erudite smith and I can tell you that I didn't bother at all with shadowscream stuff or cultural...I did LDoN armor til I capped it out and then went straight to sickles. Once you get a rhythm going for the combines (I had a mule stand there to hold stuff for me) they are the easy path, if you don't mind the expense (c. 350pp per click). The tradeoff is pp vs. farming and I find that doing things for xp that result in the pp for supplies always wins out on spending the same amount of time getting no xp for components.

Smith Ceramic Clay will get you to 262. It's not terribly common, but not terribly rare either. Otherwise I'd say sickles are your best bet after you max Shadowscream. GM and M stuff are nice supplements, but I don't think Erudites have an viable method to skillup using that.
